They hate Him or don't want to believe in Him for that very reason, they don't want to be held accountable, they want to justify everything they've done, but deep down, everyone knows God exists.

ok...here we go again...

those who say they don't believe in God usually have an "excuse."
One girl I know has had to have surgery for the past few years. She says that if God existed, why has she had to have surgery for so long?
I can't seem to come up with an answer, and that bothers me. See, most Christians aren't prepared to counter most verbal assaults on our religion. This need to be fixed...

Another reason people don't like Christianity is the fact that they don't want to know the truth. Ever heard the phrase "Ignorance is bliss."? Well, this is very true. They don't want to believe that they will go to Hell for doing what they want...it's as a friend of mine says..."There are tree ways to do things: The Legal way, Your way, or God's way." Most don't want God's way because it's too hard. They want to believe that they will go to a "Summerland" or a simple "Paradise" without any effort.

About the hating Christians thing...I belong to a CoC...(Church of Christ). Even other denominations (Man, I hate using that word...) look down on CoC because they think most CoC look down on them. I get faced with so many questions like: "Arent you the ones who don't believe in fun?"
This is completely wrong. We believe in fun. We love fun. Just not the definiton of fun by today's standards.

that's all I'm gonna say for now...I feel I've taken up enough room...^.^

I've heard a lot "being a Christian means you don't get to have 'fun'", like Addray said.

Ever hear of "Paintball" or any other sport? That's fun. Good, clean, sinless fun. Most videogames.

I forget who said it, but it was some Evolutionist... "Evolution is unproveable, but God is unthinkable."
In the context of the situation, what that means (indirectly, he didn't realise thats what it mean) that people don't want to believe it God, that he created everyone because if he did, they owe him everything. People don't like being in debt.
What they don't realize is God doesn't care if you owe him. He realizes that you can't do anything worthy enough to pay him back. But he is a loving father.

On one of the other subjects: Did you know that you have to teach a child the dogma of atheism? Sure, they may come across it on their own later in life if not taught a religion, but as a child you naturally believe in a diety. God put that in us so that we as children would seek him out.
Joseph Stalin had a whole system in school to counter that.

I have a lot of fun as a christian. I think I have more fun than those other people who drink and party and stuff. We play paintball, drive to random church memeber's houses and talk with them. Go hang out at Wal-Mart. Watch movies, play games, talk, eat, do scooter and skateboard tricks, pray.

What was that about teaching a child the dogma of atheism? What does that mean? You gotta teach the child that there is no God or other being. I never thought about that.

actualy john talks about this in 3:19- 20
this is the vedic:light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness instead of light because there deeds where evil. everyone who does evel hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that there evil deeds will be exposed.
i think this sez it pritty well. it says that the reason is that. in there hearts they know what there doing is wrong so they dont want to hear that it is wrong and be reminded. That is why they hate us, We point out what is wrong and they cant stand that.

I know people should believe in God but it's harder for them than you think.

Accepting God, for some people, is like standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon and someone is waiting at the bottom to catch you. I, personaly, don't understand why people would turn down a better life but I always respect their reasons and keep praying for them.

I hate....well, dislike, those christians who stand on the street, yelling through bullhorns that people should believe in God or die. They're just making the christian image worse. Christians used to be known for their love for God and others. Now were just considered hypocrites and lunatics.

Well, last time I checked, the world was full of hypocrites. And the one of the few reasons why people don't believe in God (that makes sense) is that He can't be proven.

here's a reason people hate us that i haven't seen yet. those bigoted men from the Deep South hat claim to be Christian, but hate gays, blacks, or anyone else who disagrees with them. i'm not saying that every Christian in the south is like that, just the nes that make it into the history books and the race riots.

i know some really great people that are gay and bi, one of the reasons they like me is that i don't judge them like others do so quickly. i'm in theatre, a lot of people there are gay. i have heard a guy (who was gay) say to my friend (who is also Christian) that he didn't like Christians because they judge him, but she was cool because she didn't do that. we've gotten a bad rap, just like Southern Baptists, and migrant workers, and everybody else at some point in history.

Most all that has been said is well and good. I have one thing I'd like to add, that I think is VERY important to understand.

WE CANNOT KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS!!!

That's all, a simple fact. We can't always have an answer to give. But there is a solution to that as well. Frances Scott Key, the author of our national anthem wrote, "Men may argue ingeniously against our faith, but what can they say in defense of their own?"

This is KEY to understand! Before you can convince ANYONE that your beliefs are right, you must FIRST make them doubt their own. If anyone wants to know more, PM me or something... I have a lot of information on ways to do this (which I got from going to Worldview Academy) But I've got to go now, lat3r peoples.

Well, here are a few things I came up with:

A. They don't know what we're all about. It's so easy just to say "EW! Christians?!" then to actually take the time to listen to what we say.

B. They feel we press our religion on them too much. In some ways, this is part way true. We are supposed to welcome everyone to God, but we should probably try to not jump in their face and scream "HEY YOU! YOU NEED GOD, YA' SINNER."

C. The only Christianity they've encountered is the blown out of proportion by t.v. or some other media. After seeing this kind of stuff, they immediately accociate every Christian with some crazy t.v. evangilist (or whatever they are watching.)

D. Not all Christians represent Christ as they should. Some people claim to be Christian, yet turn around and murder 500 people. Sort of like how everyone thinks that those who practice the Islamic religion are all terrorists. Nothing in the Islamic religion states that you should kill other people. People just took those select few that were different and pinned it on the religion.

E. They just don't believe. Pure and simple. They dub God as "imaginary" and leave it at that. I guess this stems from people just wanting to know it all. They don't want anything to exist that they don't understand.

F. They want independence. They don't like the idea that Christians rely on someone else.

G. They had a bad experience with Christianity in the past. Maybe they went to church and everyone was mean to them... I don't know!

H. Maybe they're still holding a 2000 year old grudge. People didn't like Jesus because he had new ideas that changed things that they had been doing for a long time, and he was trying to take power away from them. Maybe things just haven't changed much...
