FFVIII and FF Tactics. VIII was good in my opinion, and tactics games are generally good. Throw a little Final Fantasy into the mix and BAM, awesome SRPG.

My favorite is FFVII. The gunblades are just awesome and the Lionheart is arguably the coolest looking sword in any FF game

The seventh has one of the better story lines and 12 has a good storyline too (so far I'm almost half way through) and I like 12's new battle style

i love final fantisy X, the underwater makout seen between yuna and titud is like totaly freeken hot!! eek burning_eyes

Six is my personal favorite.
Seven was to... "Card-Board cut-out", the only two characters I really cared about were Nanaki, and Cid.
Eight was much better than seven, it had a much more mature story, and Squall was an ok character for being a total p***k. I liked Irvine the most in that game.
Nine is second only to six in my opinion, it combined likeable characters, and an intresting story and made a fairly competent game.
Ten would be under Eight, but above seven on my list. But then again I like technology, and the statement of technological evolution versus magical evolution.
and I only played through Twelve because... well because I think Fran was kind of hot...
