Saphen

Saphen watched his opponent prepare to land only taking his eyes off for a mere second to check behind him but decided it best not to stay there. Saphen would use a new move to confuse his opponent as he entered a new element into his arsenal. The speed of the plucking fingers once again changed the tune as his opponent entered his fighting stance.

Saphen jumped and suddenly his body was launched backwards but not by normal means of metal but with air. Saphen used his own attack to send himself backwards but at the same time push his opponent back with a strong gust into the wreckage of trees...or he would hope.

Saphen pushed himself back a good 15 feet again lucky to have missed any trees but the first glance back assured him it was a clear path for a decent distance.

If his opponent became more frustrated it would only be the advantage of the clear thinker. If Saphen could continue to aggravate him he would just have to endure his vulgarity until he could silence him by other methods.

Tres had mastered the stance as it was the only one he used. As the gust of wind pushed him away and attempted to separate him from his opponent he would shift his weight through it and drive forward. Tres's physical power would show itself again as he with little effort pushed through the massive gust of wind.

Tres would continue to speak, talking s**t if anything for his own amusement. He would shout over the roar of the winds.

"You know...for someone with so many abilities you sure don't do a whole lot of damage. You sure you don't just want to give up! Its far more honorable than having me chase you around all day. "

"Sounds like someone is speaking more for their short comings but who am I to judge?" the bard replied with a smile but the mask would not show such expression.

Saphen spoke while his fingers connected with their proper notes and chords but he was not merely wasting time he was plotting. Saphen blew a second gust of wind but this time it was merely a distraction. As the gust would push at his opponent a second attack would occur at a much lower area and the gust would mask it's sound.

Four stone spikes would come out of the ground (which he aimed as his opponent took his next step), again around a foot in size aiming for his ankles and the back of his leg. Two for each leg, one for each area, and Saphen hoped that the minor distraction of the wind passing over his ears and the spikes aiming for general areas where crucial muscles would help his opponent move with his athletic form. But if they were severed he might not be so mobile...or even so cocky...but he wasn't hoping for miracles here.

As the stones came up Tres would fall down forward, catching himself in a a push up position. His greave covered boots would slam hard into the two stone pikes that pushed up at an angle in front of his feet. These stones would be crushed by the hard metal of the greaves and fail to deliver there crippling blow. The stone spikes in the back would miss there target, briefly sliding harmlessly against Tres's toned calf with the shaft of the spike.

Tres one catch himself in the push up position with one hand, while falling the right hand would quickly pull out a throwing knife and toss it at the opponents abdomen.

Saphen strummed the guitar roughly as the knife soared into his abdomen. Saphen held up his mandolin to prevent any notes from being missed allowing the knife free range on his body. The metal chest piece he wore would stop the knife from plunging deep into his body but the knife would still stick into the armor piercing his skin a few inches with a decent size cut but nothing major.

The pain and feel of warm blood would have to wait as Saphen took the hit in order to retaliate with one of his own. The music finally pushed his Earth skills into the third stage of their strength. Manipulation would be much stronger, spikes much more condensed and created quicker and brought about the control of sand into his arsenal but that was not his current intention.

As the knife flew the creation of stone spikes underneath his opponent's body appeared in mass. These did not have the surgeon's precision his previous attack did but in bulk he hoped to do harm. The rectangle that his opponent's body made as he formed the push up was the area at which the spikes protruded from the ground, a foot high in an attempt to once again impale his enemy.

Saphen was hoping to aim for vital organs but with the knife interrupting some of his concentration he could only manage to make a mass of random spikes and hoped that quantity was better then dexterity.

If his opponent was still listening to the music he would notice a change in style and even sound.

How strange that a mandolin could project such harsh tones thought a member of the audience...but this time Saphen was singing and his eyes flashed warningly as he prepared to see what the man would do next.

(No worries chief, life tends to do that at the worst time)
