Well it isn't summer without Grey's drama and the threat that someones gonna lose their job. this summer it's Katherine Heigl. and like Isaiah before her it's all her own fault. Kat took herself out of Emmy consideration, now if thats all she had done there would be no story BUT she said her reason was Quote: "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials." now the talk is Shonda Rhimes is angry and maybe thinking about killing off Izzie. (also that KH really wants out of the show to pursue her movie career.)

interesting... she doesn't get enough credit for grey's... What exactly is wrong with TV, twice as much work for less pay (not that making millions a year either way is such a heart breaker) but she's getting nominated for awards which she wouldn't be if she was in movies and a couple flops and no one will care about her anymore...

It bugs me that she was never the lead of the show, she was given a great storyline with Denny but that doesn't mean she gets a "Denny" every year. what about Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson maybe it's their year for a "Denny". and Gizzie was all about her it just happen to suck. razz she also dissed Knocked up recently that why I think she's a little full of herself. Quote: She called the movie "a little sexist," claiming that the film "paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys." The why did you do it? you got your check now shut up. also Patrick Dempsey had just as successful year but he's not whining about the scripts.

arrow Katherine Heigl could be killed off Grey's Anatomy next season, a well-placed source tells Us Weekly in its latest issue.
The idea came after Heigl, 29, withdrew herself from Emmy contention, saying that she didn’t feel she was “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”
In response to Heigl’s griping, staffers are considering giving her character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, a brain tumor.
“(Producer) Shonda Rhimes and the writers are pissed at her,” the source tells Us. “It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.”
Still, there’s good news for fans sad to see Izzie suffer: newly single Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as hunky patient Denny Duquette, whom Izzie will see in visions brought on by the tumor.
And a second source thinks the story arc, ironically, may not be a bad thing for Heigl: “If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!”
A rep for ABC tells Us, “We can confirm that Morgan will be back, but we are not releasing any further details.”
At Wednesday's Television Critics Association’s annual fall preview, ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson insisted Heigl is "absolutely staying with the show. There's an unbelievable storyline this season."
The show returns September 25 with a two-hour premiere.

Oh wow. I like that spoiler. XD It's kind of twisted to come from such a dissing of the show, but at the same time... it fits with certain aspects of the show, and it should be good for some DRAMA. XD (and if she pulls it off well, she'll hopefully think she deserves that Emmy nomination next time)

She's balancing movies with Grey's right now, I don't see the problem. At least Grey's is a somewhat steady income, and it's not like she's the hot new girl that all the movie makers are just dying to have.
Besides, I doubt they'll actually kill her off. She's one of the main characters. And she's the bright, happy, sunny spot in the show, the only character that's fully optimistic. She keeps it balanced.

As much as I would like to say that people would stop watching if something happened to Izzie I can say it with a straight face. Yeah shes a great part of the show but if something happened to her I'm not sure it would cost the show many viewers.

Wow.. I heard a while back that they all signed the same contract for 2 more years, so did she somehow get out of it?? Or did they reach some kind of agreement where she'll come back a la Denny, but she won't have to be as committed as everyone else because she'll do less episodes?? Guess we have to wait one more long month to find out!!
