Okay, it's pretty much confirmed as of the DW season finale that Martha and Mickey are joining the Torchwood team.
Everyone's figured Martha's joining ever since she showed up during TW S2. Mickey was thought about as he's worked with alt-universe TW before.
So! This is the thread to post spoilers for S3 of Torchwood, unless there's another thread I need to resurrect. smile

Not so sure about Mickey joining Torchwood. His character is better off in Doctor Who, if you ask me. Maybe he could provide some comic relief or something, though...
But I'm happy Martha's coming back. I liked her better in Torchwood than I did Who. I think she'd make a decent replacement for Owen.

Martha replacing Owen was reeeally obvious with her bit in S2, taking over automatically as the doctor there... Mickey doesn't seem like a very good replacement for Tosh; I hope he's not there full-time. sad

You know I said from the start mickey and martha. Mickey is no longer the "tin dog" I think the extar history is great and poor mickey really does need to move on with his life.
