Who: Zell Dincht and his lovely lady friend Atae. ;P What: A camping trip! One set up to last a couple of days. When: Mid-July Where: Fierra Place to start off, most of it will be up on Mountain somewhere though. Why: Zell and Atae need some time together. :3  Atae fidgeted with excited energy as she waited in the front room of the Place, checking her pack for the umpteenth time just in case she'd forgotten anything. Camping~ with Zell~ she felt like she was floating on bubbles made of pure happiness, though the description of the feeling did it absolutely no justice and made it sound silly. Not that it really mattered.
She'd asked Zell about it a few days ago; it would be nice to have some time for just them, and a little adventure to boot. Not that she minded "sharing" Zell with everyone else, so to speak, they were all like one big family for her now, but... lately she'd just been wanting him, to spend time with him and be with him, and it just felt like the moments they had to themselves were always too short because of everyone else being around. And she didn't really want to steal him away with no warning... so a camping trip, a planned trip, had sounded like a good way to go. She'd always loved hiking around up on Mountain anyway... doing it with Zell sounded like heaven.

 Pack? Check. Food in pack? Check. Clothes? Check. Deodorant? Check. Gel? Check. Comb? Check. Ehrgeiz gloves? Duh. On. Zell Dincht grinned as he went over his checklist for what was possibly the millionth time. The fistfighter's body as usual bubbled over and vibrated with an unending surplus of barely contained energy. Now was even more than normal. The SeeD was just too damn excited. Taking a few punches at the hanging red back in the corner of his room Zell checked his gear one more time to make sure everything was perfect before slinging it onto his back and bounding out the door of his room.
Zell practically spun midair as he shut the door just to open it again -but this time onto a hallway. Grinning hugely Zell shook from nose to the tip of his blue flame marked tails before taking off into the hallway and on his way to Fierra Place. He was meeting his girl. Atae was waiting for him. He had barely been able to stay away from her when they were together lately (made morning training a battle in restraint, let me tell you). Just to nuzzle her, to hold her, to have her near. Zell's tattooed face was nearly splitting with his grin as he thought about it. Making his shy-gal blush...
He burst from the door on the Fierra side, nearly having to go back to remember to shut it in his excitement. Nearly bursting out her name before remembering that others were more than likely asleep Zell made a short 't' noise before a gloved paw clamped over his mouth and he continued to bound into the main room. Spotting Atae his blue eyes lit even brighter and with a happy wiggle of his tail-end the SeeD pounced with a hushed exclamation. "Tae!!"
Snuggling her he calmed the slightest bit, a happy sound rumbling from inside him.

Atae quite happily snuggled Zell back, a tinge of red brushing her cheeks at his rumbling as she gave a little purr in response. "I poked my head in to see if Kitsyn wanted to see us off since we'll be gone for a couple days... but she was all curled up with Caim and they looked cute, I couldn't wake them up." She blushed a little bit more at that... if only because she knew what had probably put the two to sleep.
Knowing what Caim and Kitsyn did together made her feel a little... well she wasn't entirely sure. But it made her want to kiss Zell more, and so she quickly lifted her head to do so. This also made her blush a bit, even if no one else was around. Blushing was like a reflex... and Zell seemed to enjoy it besides. "Ready to get going?" She smiled and wagged her tails.

oh maaaan... Blue eyes closed partially as Zell grinned into the kiss. Too short, after the happy feeling that grew with the news of Kitsyn & Caim. Together. The SeeD made his own conclusions. Surprisingly the right ones. So they were... huh. But they weren't ... well announcing anything yet...
Hyne, but between that and how he was already feeling & that adorable blush of hers had his pulse beating quicker than an adrenaline rush before a battle. What was this? Zell wasn't sure he knew... but he knew one thing: Whatever it was he didn't want it to go away. Even if it was driving him half crazy.
"Yeah." The blonde replied with a grin, his tenor voice cracking almost huskily. The sound of his own voice made Zell blush clear to the tips of his ears and he hoped his girl wouldn't ask about it ... because he had no explanation to offer her. Playing it off Zell laughed, hopping away then hopping back to brush his body alongside hers and laughingly nuzzle her neck. Hyne, but he couldn't keep away from her! Not when he didn't have to! "Heh... we'll be cool. They'll just haveta miss out on goodbyes."
Nipping lightly at her ear Zell sprung away towards the door only to return half a moment later like a paddleball to do it again. "C'mon, shy-gal. Before Shoom or those triplets wake up an' I gotta share ya." Even as excited as he was just the notion of such a thing with the pair's couple-trip planned already looked to take the wind more than a bit out of his sails and bring a sad -but utterly adorable- worried look to the blonde fistfighter's face. He felt a little guilty too... wanting Atae all to himself. Lifting one brow and then the other alternately Zell lifted his eyes with an almost pleading look to the belted femmes'. aw man... she was just too damn cute for words. That kiss earlier was like a celery stick on hotdog night -just a primer & a tease for something more. But if he kissed her now... then they might never leave & they'd really have to worry about any of the others.
... Zell just barely was keeping this all in check, and it showed.

It was perhaps a bit strange that Atae didn't really recognize the feelings Zell was having. At the moment she was starting to feel his on top of her own, however, and she was starting to get an inkling... but she knew that it would be best to get out of there while they could. They could explore those feelings later, when they were assured some privacy and a chance to relax. And the idea of Shoom finding them was more than enough to get Atae headed out the door. The triplets were more than enough trouble, but at least they'd stay here. Shoom would likely have followed the two for who knew how long before getting bored and leaving.
Atae gave Zell's adorably worried face another kiss before making sure her pack was secure and darting out the door, giving the blond a playful fwap with her tails on the way. "Yeah... lets go. Shoom always seems to know when he's being talked about and shows up... So... You're it!" For all that her tone was mostly serious, there was a definite air about the grin on her face and the twinkle in her eye of a different sort of mischief than usual as she darted out the door. She wouldn't make Zell chase too long, though. They had a long walk ahead and the packs were going to make it a lot more tiring after a while than the simple walks she normally took.

Dude! Blue eyes shot open wide at that reminder about his squeaky-voiced paintball buddy. They so totally had to JET, like NOW! Blue flames on his ears flickered as the ears themselves flicked with tiny shivers as if being blown by the expression on Atae's face. Which was not possible, though perhaps the SeeD himself was shifting in reaction to them. Ready to bolt out the door, Zell didn't need another nudge to dash after his gal while grinning to beat the band.
"Gah! Door!" With the lightning quick reflexes Zell used to train & fight he turned mid step into a flip to kick shut the door behind them before continuing the chase. It slowed him down the tiniest bit. Enough to make it more of a chase than before. More on the fun side than an actual challenge. It was making Zell remember the first time he chased Atae here... when they kissed for the first time not under the mistletoe or otherwise by accident.
A strong shiver shook him from nose to tail. With a burst of speed Zell forced his way to Atae's side. He loved to chase her, but he had to touch her! Still running, he ran just enough alongside her to do so without throwing off their strides & grinned that boyish smile flicked with pride of achievement.

They were off and away now; it felt strange to think that she wasn't going out to visit family, and that she wouldn't be back for a few days. While she had before spent entire days out and about simply wandering around, she'd never so much as spent a night out before. She always had somewhere within walking distance where she could stay the night.
It was exciting. And since she was going to be alone with Zell... it was exciting in ways that she hadn't precisely explored yet. And the mere notion of anything like that was enough to make her blush all over again. The fact that Zell chose that moment to catch up to her and that gentle and constant brush against her side as they ran abreast of eachother only made it worse. Even if that famous Sparda blood was deciding to kick in and lurk around the edges of her thoughts now that there seemed to be ample opportunity, Atae was still Atae and even a compliment was enough to make her feel blushy and somewhat shy more than half the time.
She kept up the running until there was a pleasant level of burn in her muscles, but she slowed it down to a walk then. They did have a long way to go, and she didn't want to burn down all her energy. Though it was hard to feel anything aside from energetic right now.
Atae turned to stick her nose into the fur on Zell's neck and nuzzled, taking a moment just to breath him in. The action made her happy, and a little giddy, and a silly smiled plastered itself to her face. "I still can't decide what would be the best camping spot... there's this nice little place with a pool of springwater that I like to stop at, it'd be out of the wind and stuff, and it's inside the treeline... it's really nice in the afternoons, but there's other spots too..." Of course they could probably go visit more than one spot but she didn't want all of their time to get spend moving from campsite to campsite.

Losing energy was really not something that happened to the energetic SeeD. Even normally Zell could keep going and going until he decided it was bedtime and slept with a crash. It certainly would pose no problem now either, but he dutifully dropped speed when Atae did to match her pace. Her grin... Hyne! Her grin! Zell's own grin was crinkling his eyes just to see it when she nuzzled him, causing him to shiver and feel like he had been given a bolt of energy. Dude!
Blue eyes went nearly cross-eyed over an even bigger grin trying not to spring into a series of excited flips right then & there. Da-amn! Atae made him so excited! The flame tips of his tail whipped around erratically behind him as the bounce in his step intensified.
Avidly, Zell listened to his girl -Dude! that he had a girl still stunned him and made him totally stoked!- with nearest ear raised to hear her better. "Swim sounds good." He said, boyish grin turning mischievous just before he gave in to temptation and turning his head more playfully nibbled her neck with a few equally playful mini-growls. His body shook and with a laugh Zell sprung up to flip over her to the other side to avoid what immediate retaliation might come from that. He looked like a little boy trying to get away with having stolen an cookie, then like one looking like he was contemplating stealing a kiss as well. One could almost see Zell holding himself back from the energy vibrating off his fit body. "s'close, right? If it's not all it's cracked up to be for what we want, we can always trek further later for another spot, right?"

A swim did sound good... though the rest of her thoughts melted away at the nibble. The rest of her nearly melted, too, and she barely managed to keep from tripping over herself before she paused to regain her composure. She knew she was blushing as deeply as she ever had before, especially with her mind drifting toward things she usually didn't consider...
Those lovely light green eyes watched him for a moment with a most curious and unidentifiable expression on her face before chocolate locks decided to dip delicately across her vision. Thus obscured she stood for a moment... and then a shy little smile spread across her face. Then she shook her hair just enough to peek one eye out at him, grinned, and then darted off with an excited twitch of her tails.
She wanted to get there now... not that she was entirely certain what she intended to do when she got there. The little logical voice in the back of her mind said it would probably be to set up camp, but she wasn't really listening to it now. If she had been she probably would have kept walking for a while longer, but right now... right now she felt like she could run forever and never be tired as long as Zell was there.
