I've seen a lot of posts on N4G.com saying Animal Crossing Wii is confirmed to appear at Nintendo's Press Conference! Hopefully it's all correct, Beside, the other topic said they were being tight lip about AC Wii... So... They decide to tell people about it :3

Even if you don't get G4, the info will be all over gaming sites
like IGN and others, Animalxing.com probably included.

The title of the new AC game is "Animal Crossing: City Folk" and it introduces the ability to go into town for a shopping spree amongst a huge plethora of new things along with returning elements that were in the original, got dropped in Wild World, but return for City Folk (Halloween/Christmas events!). It will also be the first Wii game to utilize "WiiSpeak," a new Voice Chat Program available to the Wii. Meaning you can chat to other players in the AC world!

Best news is it seems to be slated for a simultaneous world release (meaning we get it at the same time as Japan) sometime before the end of 2008!

I know what's going to be on my chrismas wish list this year! Does anyone know about the lifing area part? Will it still be a town?

Yes, you still have a town.

You have your town, where you and your neighbors live. You still have the Town Hall, Museum, Able Sisters' Shop and Nook's shop in your town.

You can take a bus to the city, which contains the Shampoodle, a new store based on Gracie's clothing, and some other stuff. The "city" is actually just a plaza with a couple of places to visit.
