SunflowerGoddess If something intense happens in whatever I am watching (whether it be funny, dramatic, scary, romantic, or otherwise), I often step up and start walking around the room, sometimes out of the room. I also may pause it and go walk outside. robably because it stressed you too much, my brother has Autism and is stressed out all the time and constantly paces around the house...he ticks me off all the time, which makes me homicidal to males...LOL but i get over it...after all who would take out the trash and load the dishwashe(if rarely he ever does it)?

If something sad and emotional happens during a movie, I start to cry. I feel bad for characters who are in extreme pain, and then my mom (if she's watching hte movie with me) starts to comfort me by saying that "It's just a movie" and then I get mad. D:< When we drive home from the movies, I start analyising the movie(s) we just saw. Then my mom says "It's just a movie" Which takes all the fun out of analysing. D:

I know what you mean. When something awkward or emotional happens while I'm watching something with someone else, I just kinda tune it out for a few seconds. And if it goes on for a really long time, I just rage inwardly.

Oh, I'm horrible about that with embarrassing or awkward situations--I just can't stand to watch if one of the characters does something really, really embarrassing or gets into this huge amount of trouble and awkwardness ensues. I also hate it when people just throw in romance to an otherwise non-romantic storyline. It's just better off without it, and the "love interest" is always a totally useless character that serves no other purpose than to start a relationship (which is almost always of the heterosexual variety, so it's not like I can even relate in the slightest) with the main character.
One thing I never do, and hate when others do, is watch a movie or TV episode over and over again. My brother has done this for as long as I can remember, and I've never been able to understand the appeal. I mean, sure, I'll re-read a book as much as the next person, but there needs to be some amount of time inbetween readings. Otherwise, the book or movie or TV episode just gets really old, really fast.

Bass20XX I'm similar to you like that. I hide away when something happens like Kissing, or something that will embaress (sp?) any of the characters. i think i know what you're talking about. with me its always when i know something bad is going to happen then i leave. i dunno if thats apart of my disorder or not but from time to time i do that. but in a way some of the things i know that are going to happen are embarrasing confused
