twisted - I remember one time my dad was really angry scream , because my room looked like someone dragged a tornado through it, and he had told me to clean it the day before (but I didn't).
So, he went to check it and see if I had done anything since the last time he came upstairs.
- At the time, I was reading and when I heard his stupid footsteps coming up those stairs, I was practically freaking out eek because I normally have enough time to shove everything under my bed, but in this case, I didn't.
So, instead, I shoved myself under the bed, with my book (for fear of him tearing it up and then I would have to pay a library fine), and I acted REALLY quiet and pretended that I wasn't there ninja .
xp Apparently he fell for my trick, because I heard him ask my siblings if I had gone somewhere with my friends and they said, "maybe." YEAH!! HE FELL FOR IT!!
- BUT, the bad thing was that I had to hide under my cramped bed for the rest of the day until dad left for work . . . at least I had a good book to pass the time with - mrgreen

ValHallaGirl In my old house I made my closet into a lil meditation place in the shower -.- haha back turned to the water of course.. I tried that once... Aparrently water is really bouncy, because the trillions of little particles immediately declared my shoulders to be irrelevant, and my book was ruined...

There was a window-like thing that let in light from the living room into the kitchen. I'd always pack a bag full of snacks, an mp3 player, a few pillows, and a book-I'd be set for the whole day up there.

Not that strange, but to avoid the computer as a distraction I use to read in the bathroom, in the bathtub, until someone told me to get out.

In the woods, on the back of a horse, to a bunch of little kids all on horses. One of the other trail-leads had gotten into a serious accident that tore her shoulder, and the first aid counselor had to patch her up before we could slowly get back to camp. The kids were terribly scared about it, so I whipped out The Phantom Tollbooth (you can never be too prepared) and read to them so they wouldn't cry and scream and freak out their horses and get into more accidents.
It worked.
I rank this as my so-far crowning moment of badass.

Under the stairs in the basement of my house I have my own "bat cave" that is littered with blankets and pillows and the occasional candy bar wrapper. No one knows of it because they're convinced the basement is haunted. I haven't the heart to convice them otherwise. Haha.

On a soccer field well I was on the side lines, after being cleated in the ankle often enough I couldn't stand any more.
