Kyoko_Ban >< Maybe you guys can help me out, because I have a HUGE problem. Alright, I have beaten SH2 with the Rebirth ending, Leave, and the one with Maria which, according to a walkthrough I read, would make me able to get the dog ending BUT I have YET to find the damn key x_T I keep it all on the same file and everything and I STILL can;t find it >< Can I have some help? I will replay my game to get to the point I need to, the Dog ending is the ONE ending I truly wanna see (Can't get the UFO ending, have the original ORIGINAL SH2) I'm going to state the three endings you need on the guide and here, you need: Leave, Maria and In Water, those are the three normal endings to the game

Once I get those, where do I get that dumb key? (Aw, no Rebirth? Aw well, better safe than sorry, I can make James act all suicidal)
Oh, and do I need to be on a certain difficulty level?

No, like every Silent Hill, the ending depends on your performance and actions during the game, but In Water is easy to get on hard considering that the enemies do good damage and can get your health low, it says on the guide on where the key is.

^^ Ok, thank you XD I'll have to get started on that soon, the Dog ending is the one that I've always wanted to get. Though, having to get the In Water ending is depressing XD dang

In Water is one of the true endings, but...
I'm hoping for Rebirth to be true
as I stated in the guide, theres a good chance he is trying to resurect Mary with the items you collect. He could be a new cult member from this event but its unlikely, if it happens, guess we have a new villain huh?

I think the Dog ending is only available on a certain version of the game. I can't remember if it was only for the X-Box version or the Japanese version.
On another note, I found something interesting that might help anyone trying to get the In Water ending:
After getting the letter and the wrench from the restaurant after leaving the hospital, if you go back to the Neely's Bar (the place that has the writing on the wall saying "There was a HOLE here. It's gone now"). You didn't have the flashlight when you first went ther, but now that you do, look at the adjacent wall to see writing on that wall encouraging James to kill himself.

GothicCrimson In the cutscene when you just enter the Hospital world, you see Walter playing with the guts of a woman, though if you look closely and fast enough the woman is both blonde, has long hair but no eyebrows, this is possibly Claudia Wolf from Silent Hill 3 I disagree with this as if you reenter the room the women is no longer there and you fight one of the burping nurses. My thoughts is that Walter made the monsters you fight in the hospital world.

Here's how you get the dog ending:
Beat the game with the "Rebirth" and "Leave" endings. The dog house with the dog key is located between Jack's Inn and the gas station. If you walk along the wall (starting from Jack's Inn going towards the gas station) you'll find an opening. Go inside and you should find the dog house. Once you get the key, finish the game up to the point where you watch the videotape. After watching Mary's death (again) go outside and go to James' right (not the stairs). You should see a set of double doors. Use the dog key on the double doors and you'll get the Dog Ending
