I think that bottom icon on Eirwyn's sig says it all--the quote from River Song at the end of Forests of the Dead. Would the Doctor accept this??

Sparky-Jinx Over all I really like it but only one thing got me.. WHAT WAS WITH BAD WOLF?! The whole time I heard I thought it was some evil company trying to get rid of the Doctor. But it's a bay. :/ It's far more than that. You need to watch the 2005 season (with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor).

Jettrick The irony is a couple of years back this is EXACTLY what someone else got in trouble for doing to me. I guess Who makes monsters of us all in the end o_o I've noticed that in the past you've been critical of stories I have liked, and vice versa. In some ways I guess it means Doctor Who is now a show that has broad appeal, but different people enjoy different elements of the show, and sometimes the stuff you don't like is more prominent than the stuff you do like. Anyway, since the 5 upcoming specials before Moffat begins are going to be under RTD's regime, I kind of wonder what we're in for. 'The Journey's End' seemed like they crammed as much stuff as they could... I hope they're not going to try to top that next year. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing...

Oh, it's always been that way -- even in the old days. I'm one of the only people for whom Paradise Towers is on the list of all-time best episodes. Saying that tends to make people do spit-takes.

If he tries to go the outdo the last thing route when he only has a few specials, it'll REALLY get tiresome. At least Dragonball Z builds up gradually to those "one massive blast of chi that can destroy the entire universe" moments--if they did it all the time, it'd be really boring. I'm hoping he did that to get all the insane desire to one-up everything out of his system, and he'll just give us some really interesting, fun movie-length stories (except maybe at Christmas, when going kinda crazy is sort of expected lol ) If we're getting Cybermen in Victorian England for Christmas this year, it's be cool if we got STEAMPUNK Cybermen...! biggrin
