THE DICTIONARY IS YOUR FRIEND!!! That being said.... please use punctuation appropriately there is nothing more annoying than a post cluttered with !#$%@#$%^$&#^#$%@#$ !!!!!!!!!!!!! and anything else you can come up with. Yes we understand that battle is tense and exciting that's to be expected but please give the period and comma a little love!
And as to magic rping there is a temptation to God Mode so try casting spells on objects to create such things as golems or Fetchs for your opponent to fight or just basic telekinetics ie hurl a chair at them. Also using elemental spells like causing fireballs, tornados, lighting, etc. is very effective. You can't really rp magic as anything else, its the same as using a power I sonic scream my opponent has to try and avoid going unconcious in a realistic way

Thank goodness someone is literate. And thank you, Miss The Real Poison Ivy, for giving a good explanation of how to role play. I actually learned something new today.
The 'Purple Pose'. Something I had not heard before, probably because English Literature in High School was a subject I was not quite fond of, to begin with.

Quicks1lver Thank goodness someone is literate. And thank you, Miss The Real Poison Ivy, for giving a good explanation of how to role play. I actually learned something new today. The 'Purple Pose'. Something I had not heard before, probably because English Literature in High School was a subject I was not quite fond of, to begin with.

[I find it helps to pretend you are typing a novel as you write your posts.
Describe your actions and surroundings in great detail. Basics: 5 senses...touch, smells, sounds, what your character sees, and tastes if it applies.
It also makes it easier on the eyes if you put you're character's dialogue between quotations. It's also easier for the readers if you separate it into small segments or paragraphs. Nobody wants to read a huge wall of text. Anyway, hope this helps.]
