If we have secrets of our characters past that we intend to reveal later on do we have to put it into our application?

Absolutely. If you don't want other characters to know about it, and if we accept whatever that secret is, we can put it in our Crew Chat forums so we'll know. Once it's revealed, it can be put onto your public profile.
