I would never ever seriously mod my 360, unless it's an old one and I plan on buying a new one, just to mess around with it. The only nonserious modding I want to do is paint my own custom faceplate.

Don't mod your xbox unless you really know what you're doing, you're gonna get banned.

I know a guy with about five Xboxes, all of them modded. He's been banned from Live several times, too.
Seriously, just don't do it.

Why the hell would any person want to mod/cheat in an online game? It just takes the fun out of it, and makes you a loser. Playing fair and square is more exciting and rewarding. And if you mod, that probably means that you suck in that game anyways, and need all the help you can get. confused

I've modded mine simply to solve the over heating and video problems it was plagued with. Removed the X-clamps and bolted down the CPU and GPU heatsinks... this will also solve the 3RROD issue...
I then painted it with a red undercoat and Black crackle paint, runs like a dream now AND looks badass...
Mine was an old machine and far out of warranty. But I suggest you don't mod unless your fully prepared to except the possibility of getting booted from LIVE. (FYI, I still have LIVE)

I dont mod but to mod an xbox it has to be a pre-NXE, before the new dashboard, to actually mod it and if you get banned is all you need is a Key Vault to unban it, you will have to buy a new one everytime and they cost about 30-40 dollars! Leave the modding to the no life idiots.

Lol, someone got suspended from Xbox LIVE with a gamerscore of 61707. EDIT: OMG, he is suspended until the year 9999. WTF? That must mean he's banned instead of suspended. LOL
