Sometimes it's best to pretend it's not blank. :3 Have you tried closing your eyes? Or, when I used to have that problem I'd just copy stuff from a previous document so it felt like I wasn't starting afresh, and then deleting the stuff once I had a few paragraphs.
Although I'm probably not the best help, since I've been having this problem lately myself. >_<

That's a good idea. Will need to do the closing eye thing next time. This time,
I told a friend the issue, she sent me this:
"It was the best of times, it was the bluriest of times"
followed by:
"Staring moodily at the coffee, wishing he could sell his soul for another hit of that wonderful drug. "
So now I have my beginning idea there, and its not so bad trying to write. Of course, I'm now stuck trying to figure out what happened the evening before, but that's a minor inconvenience.

w00t, I have my work back after handing it to a friend to edit.. now to put the corrections in. Apparently, I lack in the description of places.
