Wow...learn something new every day. I've always thought noob was the same as newbie. I can now see it's not.
So this spurned my researching side. I came across something quite entertaining....

Quote:
Noobs have difficulty reading English and cannot comprehend the idea of authority.

Therefore, they have an all-out disregard for rules, basic or not. A good way to identify a noob (bad) vs. a newb (good) is to tell them (or have an authority tell them) which rule they are unknowingly breaking. If they respond with an apology and fix it, they are probably not a noob. If they react by insulting everything around them in rapid noobish and causing general mayhem, it is because they are a noob and have had a small seizure due to their inability to understand what is happening.

I got it off here.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=noob
I skimmed through some of it...and it seem really entertaining. It goes through things like defining 'Noob', Noobish, where to find noobs, behavior of noobs, Noob religion, about noob habitats, making sure you aren't one, and major noob avoiding strategies. Makes it sound like one of those animal documentaries. lol I think I'll actually read it now...
