((Created for a character, not an RP. However, it could be used for an RP fairly easily.))

Location:
Galaxy: Alpha
Solar System: Elifis II (within Zurian influence)
Planet: Hoffnung
City: N/A (Hoffnung Spherical Research Facility)

Location Details: The Hoffnung Spherical Research Facility (HSRF) certainly requires a bit of explanation. Until about four hundred years ago, there existed a world in the Elifis System which was called, by its inhabitants, the world of Elifer. Elifer was an advanced world, but unfortunately, certain conflicts gave rise to extreme forms of terrorism. Four hundred years ago, a group of radical terrorists made good on a vicious threat to quite literally detonate Elifer's sun, effectively destroying Elifer as well as the rest of the solar system. This disaster caused the deaths of over a hundred billion Eliferians, as well as many foreign immigrants from other worlds. Desperate to find a homeworld and refusing to settle for any but theirs, the remaining Eliferians founded a project known as NEU: New Elifer United, with the goal of finding a new homeworld, and making it habitable. One hundred years later, an uninhabited planet was found, and NEU, which had by now amassed a great deal of resources, began its work. The project was dubbed "Hoffnung," and the plan was to name the finished product "Hoffnung" as well, after an old word in the Eliferian language of Tutian, for "hope". The solar system of Hoffnung has been named Elifis II, after the Eliferians' original solar system of Elifis. Hoffnung's development is not currently completed, and there are, at present, no civilians living on the surface of the planet. Some NEU workers and terraformers do reside on the surface, for the purpose of their work.

Technology Level: Currently on par with Zurian technology, and possibly even a little bit advanced. Specifics will be included in the Technologies thread if necessary.

Magic Level: N/A

Playable Species/Cultures: Eliferians, Zurians

Languages: Most of NEU's work is conducted in the Eliferian language of Verusian, since that was the most commonly-spoken language on Elifer before it was destroyed. However, virtually all NEU employees also speak Zurian, and it is the second most commonly-spoken language on the NEU project.

Availability of Basics: NEU purchases all necessary supplies from the major powers in the Zuria sphere of influence, and at present, there does not seem to be any risk of shortage of any kind. Aboard the actual HSRF, the setting is rather sparse, but not inhospitable. NEU employees are not ill-treated, but are encouraged to focus on their work rather than their comfort.

Government: NEU and Hoffnung are both voluntarily subject to the Zurian Sphere.

Climate: N/A

Strange Phenomena: The HSRF is a planet-wide spherical facility which surrounds the entire planet like a shell. If that's not a strange phenomenon, nothing is. The structure is such that the entire facility can be dismantled and removed from the planet in approximately one month; it is then expected that the materials will be used as scrap. From the HSRF, it is possible to send supplies or workers to virtually anywhere on the planet's surface. Light is also not an issue, as the HSRF's inner surface is lined with lights which imitate the sun and can be modified to leave certain areas illuminated for longer than a day, or dark, et cetera. This is not sufficient for plant growth, but the current concern of Hoffnung is not to start growing things, but rather, to terraform the planet. Until the atmosphere is made habitable, there isn't much point in trying to grow anything; after all, it would simply die in an alien atmosphere.

The Eliferians are an extremely scientific race, though this is probably due more to the culling of their race than to any actual genetic disposition. After all, when the entire population of the planet was destroyed, the only remnants were those who were out of the system at the time - most of whom were scientists or technicians aboard various spacecraft. Whatever the reason, Elifer has the distinction of having contributed more technological advances to the Zurian Sphere of Influence than any other destroyed planet. Jokes aside, they haven't done badly among still-existing planets, either. Many technological marvels of the last few centuries have come directly from Eliferian minds, and they don't appear to be stopping any time soon.

Strange Creatures: N/A

Vienti Location Uberpost

____________________________________________________________

Location:
Galaxy: Alpha
Solar System: Gurdesh
Planet: Home
Location Details: Home is the Vienti home world. Many colonists come here every year on pilgrimages to the planet of their origin. Though home is the origin world that the Vienti emerged from ,there are very few military or territory establisments there, as the planet was deemed a cultural landmark, making any construction there limited to the styles of it's surroundings. The movement of the governmental and military headquarters, as well as the standardization auditing home office were a result of the landmarking, making the old town hall in the capital city, the governmental hq, and the old pre-emergence military bases, the strongest on the planet.
Technology Level: though technology on the Vienti homeword is advanced, many old styles of technologies exist to preserve the ways that were before space emergence, including hydro-electric power, wheeled vehicles, and wired electrical grids.
Magic Level: There is no magic.
Playable Species/Cultures: Home, is home to Vienti, with relatively small amounts of human visitors recently.
Languages: Though there are Human embassies, most Vienti living on Home are fluent in Gurdesh. only a minuscule amount speak broken english, and only a fraction of those speak fluent english.
Availability of Basics: Though relatively old fashioned, Home has little to no trouble getting supplies from it's own fields and natural water sources. because of it's lack of pollution, Home, along with almost every other Vienti and Vienti-assisted human colony, is said to have the best harvest in the tri-galaxy area.
Government: The most important government official that space-farers will have to know, is the berth and supply liaison they speak fluent english and are in charge of berths for ships, supply requests, and a number of other services. Most aliens will be assigned a guide.
Climate: The climate is unchecked by global warming, or artificial climate control. It differs in some jungle areas, but it is mostly hot and humid, unless one is in the mountains or poles, where it is temperate. Though there are very large freshwater lakes, there are no oceans.
Strange Phenomenon: Because of the lack of hunting, many wild creatures do not fear Vienti or outsiders. Only animals of nuisance run away.
Military Defenses: Though there are little defenses on the ground, Orbiting the planet are some of the most advanced and concentrated defense systems in the tri-galaxy area, rivaling even Zurian defenses. Home is a very hard place to get into, almost impossible to shake a stick at.

Location:
Galaxy: Alpha
Solar System: Riben
Planet: Xing
City: Tu
Location Details: The Riben solar system is a predominately human galaxy with technology actually following a pattern of degradation as human inhabited planets grow farther from their planet of origin. The planet Xing is just one prime example of this. Colonized by humans by unknown means, as far as the inhabitants of Xing remember, they have always been there on the small, regional planet.
Regional meaning the planet is separated by biomes, each named for its ancient Niya ruins with respects to the physical features of the region. Huo - A sandy desert region bordered by ocean on one side and desert on the other. Jin - the western, mountainous neighbor of Huo. Shui - Shui is a combination of the small archipelagos that revolve around a larger island in the ocean bordering Huo on the east and Mu on the west. Mu - A thick and ominous jungle, Mu is the second largest region of Xing and borders Tu. Tu is an obscure, abandoned metropolis of ancient Niya cities, the inhabitants of Xing, no matter what species, tend to avoid this region of the planet which is slowly succumbing to desertification from the Huo region.
Technology Level: Early China, rifles are a new development and scarcely used, though other ingenious innovations up to the Ming Dynasty are duplicated.
Magic Level: The humans poses no magic, but the Niya are capable of elemental control depending on the house they belong too. Since much of the RP is done in the Tu region, this will mainly be control over the element of Earth.
Playable Species/Cultures: Niya Ghost, Niya Ghost Demon, Human
Languages: Chinese, all species speak it, though with different dialects. The written language is the same, but there are traces of an ancient script that is still in the process of translation. It’s not known whether Niya Ghost Demons communicate at all, though they seem to be able to pass messages between each other. They can communicate with Breezes, but it’s not known how.
Availability of Basics: Tu is almost entirely devoid of life, being an abandoned city on developed land. There are few natural resources and desertification isn’t helping. Certain foods may still be edible in the city.
Government: The Tsui Empire - Human empire established in Huo region. The Niya Empire - The four houses of each region except Tu that represent the Niya.
Climate: Continental climate, though mainly on the stormy and warmer side.
Strange Phenomenon: The sand entering Tu moves in odd, circular patterns. This pattern is also seen in the earth and weakened parts of the city. It’s said to be a sign from the long dead Tu Niya. It’s also believed that the city is “haunted” by Niya Ghosts who are trapped outside of their bodies. Since Niyan bodies don’t rot away, the city is still filled with skeletal corpses where they were when the civilization died.
