I apologize for recent inactivity. I've been away for quite awhile but I do have a new experience to document among this lovely guild.

While on vacation, my father agreed to take me for a ghost tour to White Oaks Flatts Cemetery which is quite famously haunted in Gatlinburg. this is due to many reason, including the fact that many of the bodies weren't moved with the cemetery and now a mini-golf course is erected over them. There is also a large concentration of children buried there due to an epidemic of influenza that occured in the early days of the Gatlinburg settlement. Here is a picture of the cemetery during the daytime.

While I was there, the battery of my camera completely drained. The guide blamed this immediately on spirits, but as I'm definitely the skeptic type (though I do obviously believe in the paranormal), I chalked it up to me not charging the batteries properly.

When the rest of the tour began making their way down the hill, I decided to go into the children's area of the cemetery....precisely where I was ominously warned not to go. This area of the cemetery is in the upper left corner of the previously given photo.

As soon as I stepped into this area I felt uneasy. Again, I'm not the type of hunter to let emotions dictate my determination of a haunting. My father saw me going up and not wanting to lose me, called me back to join the tour. Except for some phantom smells at a location several blocks back, I hadn't experienced anything paranormal. Thinking the tour was gimmicky and just using past tragedies in locations to justify hauntings, I shrug and went to follow my father down the hill.

I didn't get to far until a felt a cold hand grab the cord of my tri-knot necklace and pull me backwards...hard. Hard enough for me to fall onto my backside and squeal which isn't something I would normally do. the guide immediately jumped on this in the way that all paid guides do and declared me some sort of psychic who could feel the bad energies in the cemetery.

I doubt I possess any psychic abilities, but he was right. There was something very bad in that cemetery that night and it didn't seem to like the idea of my leaving.

Oh, scary. I would have laughed at the tour guide and called him stupid for being so overly annoying about everything. Then I would have told him that you don't have to be a psychic to have something attack you.

Anyway, creepy picture.

Hmm. I don't get it, it's a quaint little cemetary, I sense nothing weird about it. :/ In fact, I could go visit, maybe call it...home.

It has that aura about it at night as well. That was why having anything at all grab me was highly unusual.

Hope you didn't get hurt!! Sounds like that thing could have choked you with your necklace if it wanted to.
