Haha yeah but she doesn't like cold either.

Just go somewhere mild. Like England xD

saint_savin: Jada, their "patrol officer", operates differently than the rest of the society. She willing trespasses on other territories to do her job. Her methods go against her Syrinx nature, which makes for a cranky demon. However, she is the only one equipped enough to do the job.

And thanks for the cool drinks!

Lt Oblivious: I have to admit, the heat has its benefits. We are having a week-long thunderstorm fest here! I love storms!

DesertRoseFallen: I don't just "not like" cold, I despise cold. It makes me feel like an old lady--even though I'm only 21--because my joints get all achy and painful. All I want to do during cold weather is lie in bed with my big, fluffy comforter and keep warm.

Thursday (feels like Wednesday still) - Graveyard shifts are not conducive to creativity.

Due to a coworker (or four... at one time) taking vacation, I have been working graveyard shifts at work. What are those? I work from 11 PM at night until 7 AM in the morning. Humanity does not exist between the hours of 1 AM and 6 AM. Paperwork is minimal and I have nothing else to do. What does all the boredom get me in terms of my own writing? Nothing!

I had all my paperwork completed by 2 AM, which meant I had five hours before I could even think about leaving work. Plenty of time, one would think, to ponder plot lines and do some writing. I had two memory sticks in my possession ready for use. I had my computer with MS Word opened to a blank document. Still, nothing came! I couldn't even piece together the training program I am supposed to be developing for work! A mental dam has lodged itself in my mind and it's driving me insane!

My dream world has been productive. A fantasy world, one woman falling into the hands of a man who is her prophesied lover and companion. (Over-used, I know.) He royally screws things up when, in anger, he threatens her and sends her running away. He goes to hunt her down and beg her forgiveness.

The problem with that one? I don't know what that story is about! Yes, yes, I know it's about what I've already stated, but I have no idea what's so important about their union. I have no idea what they should be fitting for or against. I have no clue about the world for crying out loud! And of course, when I sit during that five hour boredom-fest to ponder where that story can go, do the main characters show up for questioning? Nope. Do I get any pictures in my mind of what the landscape might look like? Nope. What do I get? A big, black, fathomless hole of nothingness with an abyss of blank-dom at the bottom!

Frustration is not conducive to sleep!

Hey, that sounds like fun! Jada, not graveyard shifts.

I have that problem with fantasy stories a lot also. I have all the spiffy details, but how to get between them is not always obvious.

Try arranging the scenes you know you want to do. As your doing that, hopefully the plot with stop being so shy.

Wow. I feel so sorry for you.

God, it must be terrible to just sit there with no inspiration...

Wednesday - Work project completed, which leaves me more time for personal pursuits.

I finally got that silly work project completed. Problem--My computer decided to go on the fritz and while I got it printed, I did not get it saved. All I have to say is thank the gods it's relatively easy to format things in MS Word. I can re-do it actually at work tomorrow morning, save it to the work files, and email the location to my manager.

Now I have more time for my personal pursuits in the writing world. I wish I could find my copy of the book Time to Write as there were a lot of ideas in that book I wanted to incorporate into my every day life. It's somewhere in this sty of a room of mine.

Anyway, Jada and her story are coming along at a slow pace. I still don't have a name for her counterpart, nor do I know how they meet. I know it's in a club some how. I know his profession and I know why she would be at the club, but I don't know how the two would meet. It's a very troubling problem. Perhaps once I start writing the beginning of the story, Jada and Gina discussing the fact that Lorraine needs to be taught a lesson and planning what would be the most appropriate punishment for the woman, maybe their meeting will come to me.

Temperamental characters do nothing to help with one's peace of mind.

I'm sure it will come to you. I love sudden bouts of inspiration when you finally figure everything out and it all clicks into place.

biggrin

I hear you! writing for bitchy people is a non-stop train to bitchy town a lot of the time.

ACK. Sorry about your computer being a brat. That's dreadful.

But, having to type what you write back in you'll probably get some little things improved and it will end up even better!
