one friend said he was the guy who wrote the laterial, but in the credits, it stated that the llama's wrote the acts...and were backed up by the pthon boys.. another, said that he was their manager who brought them together? well... anyone know?

They were trying to come up with a name and they already knew it was to be some body's flying circus and then they decided it should be the name of the slimey type of agent who would have gotten them together, hense Python and Monty because the name reminded them of some famous English person which made it funny. Well that last bit is acording to Cleese, the others looked at him a bit funny when he said that but I know the first bit is right

I think it explains that on the DVD "The Life of Python" also a lot of other things but yea
