well, we do have those educational subforums on gaia. You could always show that to them and point and say "See! I'm learning and discussing!" Once in a while you can find a good thread that is interesting and fun to discuss in. There are some very intelligent people here on gaia..some are just hiding and we have to go and find them! razz

I think the world we become extinct due to our own selfish acts. Whether that be global warming, nuclear war, what have you. Any way it goes you know we probably had some part in it.

lol my reaso in around 1million years the sun is going to collade with earth and blow up all living thing will die eek mostly because of global warming to (poor polarbears :*( )

I've got the same feeling, Thyna. It's kinda depressing for me, I've found an excellent guy who I'm planning on marrying. T.T

I agree with both of you, after all there's no point in putting what life you have on hold because of the possibility of the catastrophe of 2012 or later. My sister keeps making goals...just in case the 2012 prophecy comes true.

As for me, I'm not entirely sold on the timetable theory, but I do believe that the world will end due to a comet or something of the like. After all global heating might destroy the general populace, but a few may be able to survive that.
