http://www.fleshandbloodmovie.com/I saw the trailer for this awhile ago. Now BAF is selling the DVD as well. Seems kinda like... "ooooh, look at me and how awesome I am and crazy that I do painful things!" ._." sweatdrop I still want to see this though. I hope that the whole thing doesn't come off like that. Which is to say, that it's aimed at the non-mod community and not those that are already familiar with it. Thoughts?

Ehhh I'm in the middle on that trailer. Cool trailer but it's just kinda I feel like it just furthers the whole ... I donno. Freaks this and pain that. I think it puts everything in such a shock-value light that normal people would look at it and just see it as a freak show. Point and go "Omg! See! ******** freaks! I told you!" Meh. To people in the modification community, I could see it as not a big deal to present it like that, but eh.
Ya know?

It almost seems advertised as a horror movie.
I hate all the flashing images, ugh. It does look interesting, though.

Definitely looks like a horror movie. It makes it seam like freakish.
And of course has to ad all the gory blood for shock value.

when we bought it, we were thinking more of interviews with heavily modded people to see what they were all about (in other words, prove that they're pretty much like everybody else).
it's really actually about steve haworth, not body modification. well, kind of. it's all about his influence and movement through working as a modification artist. but it's an actually timeline of his job and predominantly his personal life throughout his career. it sells well because a lot of BM people are interested in haworth and his life, including all the drama. it ends just shortly before his son dies, so it's not a very recent conclusion.
but yeah. it's still good. i like modify a little more, but since i have a penchant for personal stories, i like it.

I agree, it does look interesting, but i see what you mean. They made it out like a horror movie and it's not gaged (no pun intended) for people that are into mods. It's more like a shocker film.

I know it casts a bad light on the modding community but I still would really love to see it.
I think the reason they did it in such shock values was just basically because they wanted to sell stuff and the best way to do that is to go with stereotypes.
