Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! :3

This time of year is always busy. Make sure you don't push yourself, but a little goal here and there to work on never hurt anybody. Don't work on Verum if you're not feeling it, because otherwise it'll just be something that you hate doing and your readers should understand that. Perhaps after taking a break from it (by working on something else) you'll be more motivated to finish it?

Wow...it has been a while. A lot has happened, I've changed my writing style...my first choice genre and my overall outlook on writing.

Within the last couple of weeks I've decided to take a stab back at the genre market. Even after 7,000 words I'm not that into it...kind of forcing it. So, I slept on it and I've come up with a better idea just I'm worried the idea is too juvenile... I'm so used to writing about contemporary literary fiction and crafting my piece for hours... Plus having a minimalist style that doesn't suit my market...it's a strain. So I'm at a loss really!

Okay, decided my idea isn't juvenile and I am cracking on with it. The only problem is my Uni work, with 20,000 words and an essay to revise for in just under a month...finding time to write is hard.

Trying to swap between genre writing and literary is complication and usually mixes me about. However, sometimes it can help. My literary pieces are often a lot more work than my genre, experimenting with new ideas and trying to get the sentence structure, language and style perfect. When I get frustrated with that...I go onto genre which is a lot easier for myself, having written it for almost ten years now...

So my plan today is finishing an assignment, revising then writing! Woooo

Go, Desert, go! I understand totally how much work there is to do, trust me - and it can be hard to find the time to write. I suffered a lot from that, and I wish that I'd tried harder to push on with my writing anyway. Good luck getting everything done that you want to! =D
