Does having a perfect town mean you get more rare fish and bugs? I was just wondering because today I caught 7 rare fish and bugs. Including 3 of the super rare fish. (The huge ones with the fins sticking out of the water.)
EDIT: Yesterday I cuaght a total of twelve rare fish/bugs.
Tofay I've already caught 7 more including 2 Super Rare fish.
EDITEDIT: I also caught a bunch more fish yesterday including a gar and arowana.
Today I've already caught 2 super rare fish in a row in a the same minute.
Maybe I'm just really lucky? sweatdrop

I've never heard of there being a correlation between the two, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
But sometimes I have good days catching bugs and/or fish, and other times I have bad days, regardless of my town rating.

I never thought about there being a correlation, either.
It's an interesting thought.
Then again, you might just have good fishing days and bad fishing days.
Just like in real life.
I like the Ocean Sunfish, it looks REALLY cute!!

I think it just depends apon the season that your in you can catch really rare fish and bugs in July at night and in June but the more rare ones are in July.

I thought about that but I've been catching all of these things and my sister has barely even seen any. Maybe she's just unlucky.

First reaction when I caught a Hammerhead Shark, Shark, and an Ocean Sunfish, three days consecutively: "OMFG!!! WTF is THAT?"

Well, since you have a perfect town, it should mean that you have a lot of flowers...and when hybrid flowers grow, rare bugs are around.
Or you're just a lucky duck.
& the ocean sun fish scare the crap out of my life every time I catch one.
EDIT: And today, I caught...a shark, four ocean sunfish, a dorado, an arowana, my second gar, and about 5 barred knifejaws.
D: and I don't have anything close to a perfect town.

I have all the bugs, all the fishes and I think all the paintings (missing 2-3 x__x Not sure which)
I also have Jacob's ladder n.n!
Sadly, the only thing I can't seem to get hold of is my neighbors, they keep leaving DD<
There's even a hammerhead in my bathroom ;D

I was like "I have a surprise for you!" Lol.
