I am converting my sister in the most remarkable way.
She's taking anatomy, and all of a sudden, she's Miss Know-Everything-About-The-Body.
So, I do what any right-minded U2 fan would do. I showed her videos of Bono moving his hips. (Discotheque, anyone?)
Man, oh man, are we jealous of his hip movements. rofl
That, and I played "Gloria" enough times for her to love it. She even searches for it in a mix CD I made for her. cool

I don't know if I converted anyone. Possibly one of my friends because she started liking them one day after I'd been listening to them when she came over.
I told my cousin I liked them and she laughed at me and told me Bono was dumb. It made me sad. sad

I have actually had to do this once. My friend came over and had never heard much U2. I had a bunch of U2 uploaded on my laptop, so I used that (alas- no Joshua Tree!) to convert her. Mysterious Ways Electrical Storm Stay (Faraway, So Close!) and she was in the bag. ^^
Her sister was over too. She's an Ewan (spelling?) McGregor (spelling?) fangirl (He's the guy that plays Obi-Wan in the newer Star Wars). Evidently he's a U2 fan. She folded like a deck of cards.
