Looking up at him, she was slightly shocked at his sudden demeanor. Searching through his eyes, she found genuine softness in his eyes...for her. "I...I'm not sure what to say, Lord Lakota. I've...been having some feelings for you as well...but...I was not sure..." She looked away toward the opening of the cave fearing that she had said something to anger him, yet she curled up closer, once against leaning her head against his mane, one of her forepaws resting close to his, but not directly on top. If Lakota wanted to touch her...intimately...he would do so on his own terms. She just kinda gave him the opening..whether he asked for it, or abided by it or not.

Lakota watched her then he frowned. He shook his head and looked up, his composure gaining its solidity again. He let out a husky sigh and clenched his jaw. "What do you mean by you don't know Kione..." He looked up before looking down and licking her paw. He rested his head on his front paws.

"I mean..." She tried to regain her breath and composure, looking down at the male she so cared for. "What I mean is that...you are so cold and so locked up...I was afraid that...if I had shared my feelings for you, you would not heed to them...You would simply take what I said and move on..." The gray female sighed, turning away from him once more, suddenly feeling colder now. "I apologize for my...misjudgment, my Lord..."

Lakota sat up for a moment then pushed himself to stand. "I wouldn't do that Kione. I may be 'cold and locked up' but I am a living thing, I wouldn't to that." He was pretty much repeating himself. "I find you more than just my huntress Kione, more than company some times..." His voice trailed. "Your forgiven." He sighed before looking around, his ear's twitched and his tail flicked behind him, he leaned over and nuzzled Kione's neck.

As he left her side, she felt her heart droop and the cold envelope her. Looking up at him as he spoke, she tried to keep her face void of emotion as to not give away her current state. Her feathers gently flicked, eyes centered on him. At his forgiveness, she gave a smile that could melt even the hardiest and stoniest and coldest of hearts. At his nuzzle, she purred rubbing her nose against his mane in gratitude. "I thank you, my Lord Lakota..."

Lakota sighed at her smile. He licked her maw gently and laided down next to her. Placeing one of his arms over her back, right below her neck. He nipped gently at her ear then sighed again, he started purring himself. "Its no problem Kione..." His voice trailed as he pulled his paw away to his side, leaning on her slightly, by her side.

Kione nuzzled into him, closing her eyes as he did his little once over on her. It wasn't uncommon for him to be a little affectionate with her sometimes...he was just never this affection. As he rested beside her, she slowly began to lick and n** at his ears before licking at his nose then his maw as if cleaning off the dirt from his face. She would often take care of him like this...whenever he let his guard down. "Why all the sighs my Lord?" She asked absently as she groomed him. "Does something not please you?"

Lakota purred even louder, he was glad she was here. He looked at her for a moment then closed his eyes then her words came into his mind. He opened one for a moment then the other one following.. "I was worried about you, I though you left me with out saying goodbye.... Or I lost you... I really do care about you Kione...I love you.."
His voice wasn't gruff for a that, it was somewhat soft. He did have a heart under all of that bushy fur.
"No, everythings fine.." He nodded His gruff voice back to normal. He looked up out of the den for a then back at her before closing his eyes enjoying the cleaning. His mind was drifting as he he really did not just say what he did. He shook out his mane, his tail wrapping around his back leg.

After his sudden confession, Kione was a bit taken back, and shocked. She stopped his groom for a moment before continuing, her thoughts in shambles. Did...did he really just say that? That he was worried about her? That she left him? That he...loved her? It was all...weird...and yet her heart was leaping constantly...in happiness...and in love.
Because in reality, she loved him too. She always did. From his rough exterior, his leadership attitude...everything...
And yet he was shaking her off. When he had shook his mane...seeming to give her the cold shoulder. The female continued to groom him for a little while longer, than stopped. Feigning exhaustion, she curled up, resting her head on her own paws, tail covering her wound slightly, feathers fanning it ever so often.
Maybe it was best that feelings were kept on the inside...and for others to be like stone...just like Lord Lakota...

When Kione stopped Lakota's eyes snapped open. He raised his head and looked around, he was surprise that she had not responce to what he said. He watched her while she curled up, he yawned and wandered out of the cave for a moment.
His mind was also wandering. He was slightly upset, no reaction to what he said. But at the same time he wasn't sure if he should have said that. He sighed and moved back into the cave and looked at her.
He sighed and flopped down gently curling around herprotectivly. His back legs against her back and his head was right above hers. He was watching out side of the den.

At his restlessness, she realized that she had chosen the wrong tactic. Still feigning sleep, she waited until he returned to her side, head rested atop hers. Gently lifting hers, she looked over in Lakota's eyes, her own showing everything. "I love you, Lakota." She confessed, pushing her head under his, her cheek against his mane taking in his scent. "I've always loved you, Lakota. I've always loved you...from your harsh ways, your leadership attitude, your protective, your arrogance..." She gave a slight purr of content lifting her head up to yet again look into his eyes. "Lakota...oh Lakota, I don't know how else to say it, but I do love you.." Tears were streaming down her face at this point showing how much passion she had for this male. Oh, if only he knew!

Lakota blinked when she started talking, but inside it made him feel better. He felt loved, very much loved and it made him feel good, he hadn't felt that way since he lived in the pack. He looked at her and nuzzled her not sure of what to say. He looked her in the eye and smiled licked where her tears had fallen. "I'm glad to know that Kione. I will protect you all of the time and I will never leave your side." He nuzzled her again and smiled. He really never thought he would be here... with some one else, some one he loved.

Kione gave a deep sigh of relief as she nuzzled into him. "I'll do as much as I can to ensure your happiness...Lakota...I...I mean Lord Lakota." The female stammered a little, nuzzling into him gently. "Maybe tomorrow, I'll try to hunt a little..." She looked down at her wounded leg, leaning against him. Finally...Kione felt like she actually belong somewhere....that she was loved and in the protection of a family...She couldn't be any happier.

Lakota purred happily and nuzzled her neck but frowned when she said she would try to hunt. "No, I will go out until you are better. Your not going out of my sights with your leg like that." He nodded his words quiet stern. He nuzzled her. "You should get some sleep." He said licking her forehead gently.

Kione nodded. "As my Lord commands it..." Licking at his cheek, she rested her head on her paws, curled up closed to him. Her tail still resting on her wounded leg, fanning it softly. Through all of his hair, she felt his heart beat...felt her heart match to his rhythm. For once in her life...Kione felt at ease.
