They all really have to do with her emotions/feelings/actions... so.... i dont think that the pawn represents a person. It's also interesting how the pawn is red... because on every cover it kinda represents blood in a symbolic form or whatever... so yeah i dont think that the pawn is a person but maybe a part of Bella that she's trying to ignore or fight emtionally. Like maybe her bloodlust or her fears for maraige... or leaving her family.

yeah sry i rambled on so much lol

I like that theory.
I see the pawn resembling her blood lust

I like everyones theories but I'm trying to keep myself from reading to much into anything because i ruined the ending of harry potter by predicting it with scary accuracy eek I refuse to let myself do the same thing to this series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well...if the queen is white...that must represent edward...and the pawn in the back must mean Jacob...right?

so Edward must win over Jacob?

it is weird that this cover is more symbolic compared to the other books...that must mean that it's the last?

If the queen represents Edward shouldn't it be a king? it would be saying Edward is girly because a queen is a girl.
