Sometimes, as he traveled across Hyrule, Link would wonder if it was time to settle down, he was at the age where young men would usually be looking for brides, though as he slayed monster after monster, Link would also wonder if that was what he really wanted, eventually he would end up becoming so confused he had to stop thinking about it. He knew one thing though, no matter what he thought, the last of the Sheika(?) was always at the forefront of his mind. 'Perhaps it means something.' he would think in the late hours of the night as he readied for bed, never realizing that the objects of his thoughts and dreams(he would occasionally dream of the mysterious young man too) might be closer than he thought.

Slender fingers raked across the tight strings, the soft beautiful sound that followed danced through the air. The Sheikah sat posed on a wall ledge in Hyrule field, enjoying the warm sun shine. It wasn’t often the minstrel/ guide had time for such moments, so this was quite nice. Plucking the notes to a soft tune, Sheik smiled gently under his cowl as he remembered the first time he had taught this song to Link. It seemed like such a long time ago, longer then it probably was. This came in full circle of him trying to remember the last time he had seen the Hero. Red hues blinked at the sudden thoughts about the hero, probably which he shouldn’t be having. Pausing in his tune, he placed the harp down on his lap and looked around the relatively empty field. Faintly he wondered where the Hero could be.

The noise was soft at first, distant in sound to Link's sleep-addled mind, but as he became more aware, the soft sound became louder, becoming music, a harp Link thought. He wanted to find the source of the tune, it sounded so familiar, and yet he didn't want to wake Epona. So, as embarrassing as it was, Link put on the bunny hood, running at an amazing speed towards the source of the music, until he came across a rock formation, gasping lightly when he saw a very familiar person. "Sheik." He said gaping quietly.

Upon hearing the hurried sound of footsteps coming in his general direction, the Sheikah spotted Link. “Hello Hero, nice to see you again” The minstrel smiled slightly and hopped down to face the other fully. Red hues seemed to smile as he looked at the Hero, not sure on how to reply. It was strange how when you are thinking of someone you run into them. “What brings you here today?”

Link wondered why he was there too, wasn't it for the music? "Um, I had heard a beautiful melody, and had come to find the source, I seem to have found it." He climbed the ledges, until he had reached the same one Sheik was sitting on, sitting beside him.

"Ah I see," Sheik plucked a few random cords, lettign the soft sound surround t hem. "I play becuase it helps me think..... what compless you to play the orcarina?" He asked, doing his best to make conversation. He tended to be one of very little words when it came to the Hylian. The Sheikah jsut seemed to free and jsut stuck to what eh knew befoire he was abel to make a fool of himself.

Link thought for a few moments, trying to think of the best answer. "Well, I play to let people know i'm still alive, still here to protect them should evil rise again." The Sheikah was an enigma to the hero, really, but Link didn't mind. Pulling out his ocarina, he began to play a soft melody, one that drifted with the wind.

Sheik smiled gently at the others answer, understanding completely what he meant. " Very wise answer Hero" He replied, clutching his harp close. Closing his eyes and listening to the others notes, he picked up on them and played along with him. Harp and Orcarina seemed to blend beautifull together.

He didn't know when they had stopped playing, nor how much time had passed, though it was easy to tell when the light of dawn came from over the horizon. He began to drift off though, finally falling asleep, head resting on Sheik's shoulder.

Link awoke several hours later, when the sun had reached the noon position. Noticing his head felt heavy, he attempted to right it, but found he couldn't, he began panicking until he realized it was only Sheik. "Sheik!?"
