Just thought I'd share this...

A popular argument against evolution is that it has never been observed... Well, I recently came upon an article on the Discovery News website that shows evolution in progress. Threespined sickleback fish that live in a Washington lake lost their bony armor when they migrated to fresh water. In the 1950's and 60's, it was observed that the unarmored fish were almost a complete majority. When samples of the fish were collected recently, it has been observed that the freshwater version of the fish now has plates, with fewer than 16% of the fish possessing few to no armor plates. It is believed that the fish redeveloped the armor after the lake was cleaned, removing the murkiness from the water. This exposed them to predators.

Just one more of the long series of observations of the power of evolution.

I think proof for evolution is more obvious than people think. I consider pregnancy and growth of a fetus a form of evolution, because when you think about it, thats what it is. a single cell organism changing form into a complex being.

I think it's a little dangerous to liken fetal development to actual evolution. There are enough misconceptions about evolution already that I think it casts doubt and wrong ideas onto evolution for people who don't really understand it. Evolution is about life evolving over multiple generations, very slowly, not like one single organism developing into something else. Just my opinion, though, you're obviously free to think as you'd like about it.

Um, evolution doesn't happen during a single organism's life. A fetus growing is not an example of evolution. It's not even Lamarckian. Evolution does not equal growth.
