Of course there's no last names, everyone is busing trying to save the world, enslave the world, or with mindless violence. When that stuff is going down, there's no time to say ones full name.

lol so true!

Really there's no reason to give last names unless it somehow advances the plot (like Toph's case). A lot of shows introduce characters by their full name right in the middle of a fight, which to me just seems unlikely.
