This seems like a plot update in the making to me, but it really was a ripoff as for the Timmy Sub-Story. I was expecting more.

I'm sorry... I find the whole thing hilarious. He LOST it? hahahahahah
What an idiot... but then, I think we already knew that.
*turns to her newly-evolved pet*
Hey Rose... would you mind terribly if I asked you to seduce Evil Timmy so that we can capture him and experiment on him?
....
No?
Great. XD

I wouldn't call him an idiot. I mean, come on! Gene managed to put the two back together again. I couldn't do that. >.<

I think Singh's last sentence in the report states it clear.
"Hey, I'm the host!"
Double meaning perhaps? Hehehe. And being "as beautiful as ever" perhaps the sentient mutation/symbiote it making her more perfect, as it has evolved beyond the hideous mutations that happened to Timmy.
She'd make a wonderful, serious female villain.

The important thing is our favorite possible lesbian minority doctor is okay!
As to everyone who says it was a cop out... come on, give it time. Given, the end to this chapter may have been a little lack luster, but it's not like we're just going to STOP having good interplay or mini stories about Yeep-Boy and the Mighty Singh. Just enjoy it for what it is. You kids these days... Back in my day, we'd go MONTHS without even so much as an announcement besides "here're your monthly items!" or "Sushi's done ******** up again!" Enjoy it as you go, though I will agree I was expecting more complications to the surgery. Oh well, we have evil Timmy-bits running around doing who knows what.

The "Daily" Comic that foreshadowed the so-called "prom" was entitled "PromNomNom." "OM NOM NOM" is one of various onomatopeia used to describe eating noises. Timmy's evil side apparently gained physical form and went loose while Gene was doing the procedure. Of course, we all know that Timmy was eating Dr. Singh's arm when he was still a mutant.
I believe that a similar fate awaits the rest of us on 16 May.

I was telling the history of Gaia in the towns the other day to poor newbies who didn't know we had plot, and I realized that. "We went about a year without any news of Gambino." .....A whole year of no plot! Wow.... Scary times...
