I'd consider myself a fairly lazy donater, I don't bother checking the profile of who I donate to and usually just give away cheap event/quest items to whoever gets there first. On the other end I've recieved a celebrity date and this Mimzy from a good friend who also plays Gaia. My question for everyone is, do you donate and have you ever recieved any donations?

All I've ever received is paper cat ears, but I haven't donated to anyone either... I have considered donating a couple times, if that counts... sweatdrop I should probably start donating. Hmm... Maybe I have donated a few times in the past, but I just can't remember. Either way, I prefer donating anonymously, because I don't care if they know, I just care that they are happy. biggrin

I used to spend a LOT of time on Gaia in a Charity Thread, and when the Cocos came out I must have given about 6 of them away. And 2 Kikis. The sad thing being I dont think the people use Gaia anymore.
I gave a girl my phoenix circlet and she got banned like 2weeks later-sigh-

I've donated here and there is someone is especially kind to me or something and then I'll check their pro. for something on their WL that I might have to send. Always do so annoymously as I'm only doing it to brighten their day. If I'm ever a wealthy gaian I'd love donating more!

yes i've done so plenty . . . donated an elegant veil back when it was at 60k . . . was the most expensive thing i donated i think
and the most expensive donation i've recieved was the alruna's rose from Salmay . . . i do believe it was the most expensive . . .

I have a giveaway thread, but it isn't very active. Other than that I only donate to friends really, or newbies that I am particularly fond of in my adoption thread. XD
I received a fair amount of donations, I just list them in my profile. :3

But I've also donated a lot of stuff. Mostly to guild friends. =D

Ive donated in to friends, newbie and in donate event threads. Th most i've given is a feb 08 letter and the best i've got is sept 2007 letter

I donated a Bachelors cap and gown once for on someones questing thread. Never was donated anything. I do believe you should rely on your own abilities unless you are really helpless though (like nightmare scarves or kiki kitties **phew** xp )

My Grace of Aphrodite and my Tiny Pixie wings were gifts.
I've also gotten a Kappa Plush as a gift.
I give away mostly gold, when I can.

I have never been given anything really expensive. I have been given things like paper hats and comb overs. Most recently I received an epic fail hat.
I like helping the newbies out. One time I was chatting with a kid in town who had a decent avi except for his shoes. I ended up buying him a pair of goth boots to complete the outfit. He was kind of like " um..why did you give me these?" I told not to worry, that I didn't want anything in return and to pay it forward. More recently I have made friends with a younger girl I meet in towns. I sent her a birthday present, something small off of her wish list. She was so happy she declared me her sister. O_o

I seem to like to frustrate the h*ll out of people before I donate to them. If I'm going to just give them something, why not make them work for it first? xd
I have given birthday gifts to good friends before. (funny enough, hardly any of them ever log on anymore xp )

Antiq doesn't donate or gift much this year, but I have two charity accounts that do biggrin This is my main, and if I go around donating, it gets too much annoyance, so I do it on other accounts. That way I'm left in peace and still make people happy heart
