Jiri gave the girl a bit of a questioning look. "Did you attend any classes before you left?" she asked. Apparently not.
"The masters tell you what to do," she sighed, "And then you do it."

"Yeah, none at all. That's the silliest thing ever. I arrived in the place, stayed a few days before classes even started, and was taken back just before I was going to learn something." she sighed, and sat on her bed "Sucks to be me. You can say I feel a bit..uneasy about this."

"Don't be," said Jiri, a bit sharply. "Everyone's nervous when they get here," she explained, "And then you realize everyone else is just as clueless and insecure as you, and it gets better."
She forced a smile. The dark skin beneath her eyes tightened in an equivalent gesture.
"Honest."
