If you aren't a huge fan of Nintendo's first party titles, it's not worth it at this point (going on the two year mark).

The third party support is absolutely terrible (just like the GC), and the VC titles leave a lot to be desired in terms of quality third party titles as well.

If it wasn't for Smash Bros and Mario Kart Wii, mine would be collecting dust.

It's Nintendo - Business as usual.

I never said anything about the amount, "proper third party support" can cover both quantity and quality. It's very obvious when you browse the Wii games at a retail store, most of it is shovelware (budget minigame titles, childrens franchise titles, wii ports of older games, and rehashes of tried and true series).

The only good third party titles are ports (usually PS2 ports) with Wiimote controls tacked on, and there aren't even that many of worthwhile ones.

There are maybe two or three decent third party games on the system, and even then they aren't top tier exclusive titles (No More Heroes was pretty flawed).

I'm not trying to be harsh, but the grim reality is that third party companies don't want to spend a ton of development money on Wii-exclusive titles when the sales numbers on them are so horrible.

At this point, only Nintendo developed titles do real well.
