The music from Series 2 was also played in Partners in Crime, when Donna was talking to Rose. It's called Doomsday, the original song is about 5 minutes long and was first played at the end of Series 2, beginning when the Doctor and Rose lean against the wall in Torchwood London that separates them.
Ood Sigma spoke of the Doctors song ending, that song being Doomsday, which is representative of his separation from Rose. If Doomsday is ending, that means that Rose is coming back. Given the shows nature and tendency towards foreshadowing (see "Bad Wolf" Series 1, "Torchwood" Series 2 also to some extent "oncoming storm", and "Saxon" Series 3) I think it is more likely that all of this is leading to Rose's return later in the season.
Now that I'm done being an obsessive music geek. Tennant isn't really leaving at the end of Series 4. From what I understand the show is going to take a year break, so that he can do Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company, but there will be three specials, for Christmas and two Bank Holidays. Series five will come back after the year off, and I think I heard somewhere that Tennant wants to come back, he hasn't been signed yet, but unless something happens, I think he will come back.
Sorry to any of you who read all of that.

I'm confused about all this "song" business. Not the Ood song, but the show songs. Anyone care to help me out?

Tentacular Orgy WELL?
That tiny wee snippet just at the end of the episode of the Doctor's theme from Series one.
DID YOU HEAR IT? Because I did.
WHAT DOES IT MEEEEAAAN??? Something for sure! They wouldn't have put it there JUST AFTER THE OOD SPOKE OF THE DOCTOR'S SONG ENDING for nothing.
ALSAKSJDJHHFG. That song is Rose's song, they said so in the last confidential of series two, and it was dubbed Rose's song at the children in nedd concert.

No, it was the Bad Wolf arrangement of the Doctor's theme, last heard during The Satan Pit. It is sung by Melanie Pappenheim and is Track 3 on the first soundtrack album. That arrangement, however, is only heard in connection to both the Doctor and Rose.

I thought that was the theme I heard! blaugh
I'm pretty amped 'cause I haven't heard it for a while, but it's beautiful to hear. Now after my original thoughts + this thread, I'm thinking it's one of three things.
"Your song is ending" 1) The Doctor will regenerate (doubt it because of the three specials - if he was leaving, it would eliminate the need for them) 2) "Your song.." is referring to the Doctor/Rose combined theme we hear, which could mean that she is finally leaving. This also makes sense when you think of what the Beast said the last time we met the Ood, oodly enough; XDDD (Impossible Planet/Satan Pit) "The child who will die in battle" ... she hasn't died, and even the alternate universe she's in seems to be unable to hold her. It's leading up to something with Rose.. they've mentioned her quite a lot lately >_> 3) .... just read all what Richard_Swift said, cause it's too brilliant to paraphrase. 3nodding

I always thought the Beast's prophecy was fulfilled in the Battle of Canary Wharf. I don't remember the exact quote, but in "Utopia" Jack tells the Doctor that he saw her on the list of the dead. No she's not actually dead, but she is dead to the world. I also don't it means she'll be leaving, but that she'll be coming back, for a little at least, other wise they wouldn't bring her in at all, she would just stay in the alternate world. I'm a huge Rose fan, so I just might be biased.

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that. Well.. perhaps you are right but I thought it interesting that both episodes/storylines involved Ood and prophecies. 3nodding
