My Band Director always forgets to tune us flutes!!

Yeah, the french horns in Concert 2, lowest band (which there's only two of us or just me) sometimes get ignored. But to us it means we're the good players who follow directions and there's nothing wrong with us (unlike our trumpets or percussion). There was one time when everyone got new music except our section, but the sophmore in my section was like, "No, let's just wait and see what happens." because I was about to raise m hand. Well, just before we started, he then raised his hand and our band director was surprised. Ha ha. We got our piece okay after that.

My band director rarely even remembers to put chairs out for my section.

French horns at our school are always forgotten as well.
Whenever we tune, we go low brass, trumpets, flutes, clarinets, saxes, and even the bell players. Always forgets the horns.
He'll start yelling out parts in a song "okay... we need to work on this part... trumpets, altos, tenors... get ready" and they have the same exact part we do.
This one time he went so far as he was working with the altos on a part that we also had (I told my section to pay attention) and then he turns to us when he's done and goes "mellos- you have the most awesome part! *raises hands and scans his master copy of the music to see what we even have*"
Me:"WE have the same part."
BD:"...I know..."
lol
We have two band directors, one a french horn major, and both forget us. It got to the point that when he forgot to call us, I would put down my horn and glare my most evil glare as my section mates crack up at how angry I was getting. We got ribbons to show section pride and to promote horn awareness.
Yeah... It's a big deal with us. xP

I wish our BD would ignore the clarinets for once. I have just the opposite problem in which the BD pays too much attention to us and not enough attention to anyone else. I guess it's because the clarinets have the main parts, considering our trumpets don't play at all... and our best two trumpets left the band, because one graduated and the other went into homeschool.
But nobody could not but notice our mellophone cause he was the loudest person in there XD

my BD played the trumpet so he tends to forget the clarinets and flute b/c there was only 2 clarinets and one flute. There is a lot of clarinets and flutes moving up now so maybe he won't ignore us as much.

Both my band directors seem to forget the french horns A LOT!!! The Symphonic BD (Freshman and Sophomore) NEVER tunes us, and only payed attention to us when I had a solo. And then he had the nerve to say (even thought it's true lolz) that I was one of his best horn players and that he would miss me.
Then as I was getting ready for marching band as a Mellophone, I was asking the director of the wind ensemble *junior and senior* for some valve oil and he said, "Oh..no, you're not on the Mellophone this year. You're playing the trumpet." I went into a spaz! I was the only Mellophone to go within enemy lines *Er... no offence to any trumpet players, but the trumpet players and the mellie players at my school are..kinda sworn enemies.*

one of my bd always forgets the low reed's. she's like, "i need the low brass to play thier part for me." and then after she's like "now i need to hear the clarinets." after she turns to us and says "well, dont you play there bass clarinets." well duh, we play with the low brass in almost EVERYSONG!!!!!! but she never has us play! oh well, more resting time i guess

my BD will teach every little part of the song to everyone but us-the flutes its a bit odd
