Quote: You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. I hope Obama can recover from this; while he speaks the truth, people don't want to hear that they are bitter and Hillary is jumping on this. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mayhill-fowler/obama-no-surprise-that-ha_b_96188.html

It's okay because the only thing Hillary can rebut with is her own form of John-Kerry-Shotgun.jpg which was dumb as hell.
Obama has a point in some of what he says, he just had the misfortune of not saying it tactfully this time.

Less Than Liz Talon-chan while he speaks the truth What? People are bitter, people do dislike those that are different from them, and in times of trouble people look for someone/something to blame and something to cling to for hope.

he misspoke, but i don't think he didn't mean what he said. It's true, it just isn't what people want to hear

Having lived in a couple different small midwestern towns I can say with the utmost confidence that the man speaks the truth. Unfortunately, as several of you have mentioned, it just isn't what the people want to hear.
