Kurogane huffed in his usual manner, looking around the room he and the mage had been told to stay in. Rune and several other kitsu were in the other room, adding yet another room to their small space with magic spells, apparently. How they would do it without actually building something still slightly baffled the ninja. He was used to using his hands and pure physical labor to do such things, not make things seemingly appear out of no where. he was sure the mage understood it easily enough, for he too had magical powers but refused to use them.
The reason behind the additional room? After the decision of asking Rune to be the surrogate of their kits, and her acceptance, both the ninja and mage thought it would be best if they all lived together. The first idea had been Rune's home, but the large number of stranger kitsu put the ninja on edge and he was against the idea. Then came the idea of just staying at the HQ, but the limited space made it only a slightly better choice. That was until Rune told them of how they could add another room to their space, magically making it larger than it actually was.
While the ninja had been wary of using magic he wasn't familiar with on his living space, he swallowed his pride and agreed, happy that a decision had been finally made. So now they waited, while the small horde of magical kitsu worked away in the other room, and he was stuck in this room with the mage for who knew how long.

Hmmmmmmmm~
Well, today was going to be a busy day. No doubt to that. But why were they put in time out like this? D;
Fai sighed as he finally de-plastered himself from the door, curious to hear what was going on in the other room. There had been alot of magic wielders that followed Rune here, so much so that Fai was curious to see just what branch of magics they knew. Oh well.
Grinning to himself, Fai spun on his heel to face the only other in the room. Not a magician, but just as entertaining in his opinion. And deep in thought too, but that was normal. Skipping over, Fai didn't bother to hide his approach from the alert ninja. Instead, the male glomped the other's back in good humor, nipping at his ear for reaction. "Hyuu hyuu! Kuropuppy looks like he was sent to the kennel!" He patted the black spikes before rolling onto his back next to the ninja's paws. "Nyahh, is Kurotan bored? Maybe we can play some games while we wait!" 8D

Kurogane grunted in response to the ear nipping, shaking himself mentally as he came out of his thoughts. He arched a brow at the mage that had moved himself to the floor. He smirked, chuckling softly before bringing his head down to nuzzle the side of the mage's muzzle. He brought his head back up, smirk still on his face.
" For how much you call me a dog, you sure act more like one in that body than I do." This was what he found so amusing. Another chuckle left his lips before his ruffled the mage's hair with his scarred paw. " I'm not bored, just curious of what the hell they're doing in there," his gaze flicked to the door before coming back to the mage. " And besides, what kind of games would we play exactly?"

Fai mirrored Kurogane's smirk with his own, wagging tails to the sound of his chuckle. Though a brow did lift to the ninja's comment, the magician giving a light laugh. "How many times must I tell you silly. I'm a kitty!" Hadn't he been paying attention when he drew that picture? He certainly had reacted like he did, chasing him around the cafe in that world.
Rolling his shoulders forward, Fai arched upright and sitting, wings somewhat ruffled. His two paws went to wrap around one of Kurogane's sculpted arms as he nuzzled his face against it. "See? Only kittens cuddle like this." Puppies tended to lack in such actions, prefering barking and tackling. Ears twitched as he considered the other's question, himself going quiet as he focused on the energy of the other room. "Hmmmm, yep. They're still hard at work." And as rude as it may seem, Fai couldn't even offer to help, not daring to use his storage of magics.
Muzzle pulled in a smile at the ninja, eyes enthusiastic. "Hyuuu! There are many games to play. Like Marco Polo, tic-tac-toe, roleplay." The male giggled to himself, imagining all those possibilities. "Or I'm sure Kurotan has his mangas with him? Hm?"

Strawberry blonde tipped tails backed out of the room in question preceding the rest of the female kistusagi. Rune Bivrow as she emerged and turned had an oddly bemused and sheepish look on her otherwise usually gently dreamy face. Shutting the door behind her she padded over to the two males who had come to mean so much to her. So much... the sorrow at her self-depicted 'failure' where Seifer was concerned became a much smaller thing. "They have all they need from me for now."
Her soft laugh -she was now in the way to the magic users inside. Since this was being done particular to the three's requirements and not exactly like the magic doors at the house in Bass'ken Woods & Fierra Place, Myranda the GaiaCom witch had permitted the small rabbit familiar Peter to join them. Rune was to keep her thoughts open to him, and perhaps glean subtle requests from Kurogane & Fai if what remained of her own psychic powers from her Guardian Force M'din enabled that of her.
The White SeeD's sheepishness shifted to a true and happy smile to see that Kurogane must have recently ruffed the mage's blonde hair & how Fai in turn was cuddling his foreleg. It warmed her lonely heart -less lonely with these two males in her life & heart now- to see it yet Rune politely turned the gaze of her pale green eyes away. Even though they had asked such an honor of her to bear any kits they might wish to have, Rune wished to not make Kurogane uncomfortable in his showing or even acceptance of affection.
"Something that will last a few hours perhaps? Myranda said it will not likely take more than 3 or 4." A short time, since making a full working magic door often took an entire day or more. Those making the original did not like talking about having made it with so few magic users at the time. As if they had been worried it worked as well & as long as it did before many of the fine tunings placed upon it. Gently smiling eyes went from red to single blue. "You should be able to see the mix of magics from here, Fai. We're simply not to touch the door or enter, but I think more from the chance of distracting them while they work."
She would never achieve her lifelong dream. Would never experience what she saw in her dear friends and so many others for herself -and yet Rune was happy and content. Happier even than she could have ever thought herself to be able to be. As if it was enough to see them this way, and to be this close to it. Rune gracefully sat near them but not too close and rested her head lightly on her paws where she could easily look to the males should there be reason or need. She loved them both so much... Rune would do anything for them. There was only one she -foolishly- loved more, and he would never know it. This was her life... and Rune was happier than she would have thought she could be.

" Ah yes, a cat. How could I forget," he teased, a smirk still playing on his maw. Kurogane watched the mage cuddle his arm for a moment before he stretched a wing to place around him. It was his way of hugging without having to move too much, especially since one of his arms had the mage attached to it.
The ninja's attention went to the door again, a curious look crossing his eyes. He sometimes wondered what it was like to possess magic powers, but only sometimes. His thoughts were interupted by the mage's suggestions, and craning his neck, he glanced back at the mage, a brow arching in question.
Had he brought his books in here with him? He didn't quite remember if he had and had the right mind to ask the mage if he did, but stopped as he heard Rune enter the room.
His blood red eyes flicked to Rune, an actual smile peering out from behind them as he watched the female sit beside them. " Three or four hours? Is that normal?" He hadn't realized that he would be having 'strangers' doing so much work for him in such a lengthy amount of time. He figured maybe an hour tops, but that just showed how much he knew about magic.
His thoughts momentarily went back to whether or not his books made it into the room with them.

The blonde stunted a pout to the ninja's teasings, though it was half hidden in Kurogane's fur. How could he forget? Never! Not with Fai here to always remind him. Or pester, same thing. Shoulders loosened as a black wing blanketed around him while his eye slid to the opened door, smiling to the backward-walking femme. It was was funny in a kind and interesting way to the mage, how Rune appeared so mannered and yet she'd have her cute moments too. Just like now. She could be so much like Sakura at times..
"Ah? They must be sure to handle it then, working it as a team." There had been a good handful of kitsus that arrived, many with the knowledgable use of magic. He had no doubt they would accomplish the room without fail, and four hours tops sounded managable. The pale kitsu nodded to Rune's statement, both in understanding and confirmation. No, it was never wise to distract another when they were busy with incantations.
Fai smiled as he pulled away, brushing his muzzle lightly on Kuro's arm as he did so. Carefully, he leaned back until he rolled back on his wings like before, nestled in the space just between the ninja and the SeeD. Blonde hair spilled around his face like light ink and he pawed playfully at Rune. A soft ear turned to the ninja's inquiring. "Nyahh, it's normal enough without burning much energy. Or doing a sloppy job."

Her face brightened in the light of one of Kurogane's rare smiles. His 'embrace' of Fai not going unnoticed.
That was the other thing of having the dimensional travelers away from the magic users... not all of those that had come were kitsu. Though Rune was certain her dear friends could handle such a thing, it had come to a general consensus that perhaps seeing two pairs of Weasley twins of different species and neither species kitsusagi for example (and there was little point going over how many Relms were there) was quite a lot on top of their 'apartment' being invaded. At Remus' suggestion, all but the kitsu had been apparated in or brought by the anthrobreedable Illyana's teleportation disc after the others had arrived. It would be quicker with all of the magic users of the house and not require a follow-up visit.
Chuckling softly at the mage's very kit-like behavior Rune lifted her head & swished her ear for him then made a light & playful show-only attempt at nipping at the paws nearing her maw. "I was not here yet when they expanded the rooms of our house, but supposedly the blending of magics involved can take days." Pale green eyes sparkled almost shyly as she looked up from 'playing' with Fai to the ninja's red eyes. "Personally I'm more comfortable with my world's simple magics. Draw a Fire, cast a Fire. When they speak of weaving and the different aspects of the different varieties of magic & how it looks or works ... it makes my head spin."

Kurogane huffed, his eyes being drawn to the door again out of curiosity. " It all sounds like nonsense to me." He was no stranger to magic, but was happy with using his bare hands to make things work. He shrugged at his own thoughts, his eyes being drawn back to his two companions. He smirked at the two playing, flicking a tail to hit the mage gently before settling him self on the floor, setting his chin upon folded paws, pulling his wings tightly against his back.
He figured he might as well get comfortable if they were going to be stuck in this room for a few good hours.
(didnt really know what else to say 8D;;; ))

The magician gave a faint smile to Rune's reactings, withdrawing his paw an inch before moving forward again. Of course there were no long touches, as he didn't want to ruin her neat hair, and his paws only fell lightly against her ear. A knowledgable brow lifted to the femme's explanations of her friends, and the blending of different magic sources. Oh the urge to witness it was strong, enough to make the male's tail tips shiver. But no. No need or reason to witness what he himself wouldn't do.
"Ahhh, familiarity does bring comfort. Yes?" It was only natural and subconscious to be more settled with the known than the unknown. His face went smooth and patient as he listened some more to her words, absorbing all he could. Weavings and qualities of the different trees of magic families. He would certainly like to take a peek at their spellbook collection.
On instinct, his tail flexed back at the ninja, smacking against his wing tips while he turned to flash a grin at him. "Silly Kuro-rinta. It all makes perfect sense. Hmmm." He tried to paint an image of what it could mean for the warrior. "Just like all the techniques learned for the sword, but also the body, yes? Time and skill all matter on the individual~" He lifted a pae to eye it lightly, wondering if his own abilities had dwindled any since they arrived at this world.

"Simplicity, I'd say." The White SeeD said softly, a sad light behind her eyes as she smiled at the two males. Of course... really were they not more familiar to her now than anything from before? She had only ever really been close to Ellone & Matron... the rest never even knew she was there. They had hardly needed juntioning with Guardian Forces to forget her. It was not a pitying thought that went through her mind as she continued to lightly 'play' with the mage. Merely reflective.
"Is it?" Rune asked with quiet thoughtfulness to Fai's explanation. "It seems to take so much more thought. In the middle of a battle, my body remembers more while my thoughts guide with a strategy. The way they talk about the magic... it seems like so much more thought all the time." A pause, and Rune leaned back, paws curled above her in the air, tails lightly sweeping. "Or maybe I only hear about the complex projects. Like our room."
Our. Rune sighed happily with a faint and gentle smile of contentment. It felt good to say that. To think that. For it to be. Like she belonged. Zell always let her belong... but then the happy-go-lucky fistfighter was like that with everyone. Though it was nice how even though he never remembered her from before he never disbelieved her after the first, well, disbelief. Yet for all her memories... this felt more like home than anything. Even her love for Seifer.
Slowly rolling to her side she gave Kurogane a smile before letting her gaze fall on the mage with an almost teasing smile. "Fai... don't tell me you can't watch the play of their magic through the wall." What little psionic powers she still had from her long years with M'din filled her in on the source of the blue tails' shiver -or at least gave her a clue. Surely the mage could see that the magical workings going on inside the room were only being shielded on the other three sides from notice.
