Kaiserhuff Shofuunaga A wonderful Steampunk game is Arcanum. It does have a multiplayer feature, but sadly no one ever plays it. But you can get a group of people together and possibly play some sort of multiplayer storyline or RP in it via Hamachi. The single player is well worth the time used up playing it. Heck, I got a couple of hundred hours of gameplay out of Arcanum. It was VERY worth the fifty dollars to get it, and I imagine it comes much cheaper now. The replay value is incredible as well, though once you pair Teleportation with Melee Master and Dodge Master, it becomes ridiculously easy. For bonus points, play a character with NO magical ability whatsoever and give him abysmal social scores. For further bonus points, maintain positive alignment above 50 without abusing the beggar thing. ^_^ Explosives is perhaps my favorite thing to do in it. For example, during the Bank Robbery mission, I used dynamite and molotovs to find a solution to getting into the safe. Finally, I just decided to rob the safe AFTER I saved it. This was, of course, after I tried blowing up the door.. the window.. the woman... with the dynamite.

Acervus Vlos If you don't mind OFFLINE games... There are quite a few that have gained small noteriety... Well, one gained a -bit- more... That "one" being "Bioshock" I don't think I have to go into any further details... Another, rather unheard of one, was called "Bumpy Trot" in Japan, and when it came over, it got the name "Steambot Chronicles" Now... Uh, there is only one MAJOR Steampunk setup MMO... And it's the most popular in the world... World of Warcraft. It's set in a steampunk time period, although, it's also weighed more heavy on the Fantasy side. But, the Steampunk is there! Cogs Away! IT'S BIG DADY!! -squee- I LOVE Bioshock.

I just spotted an advert for this on Gaia, and my highly tuned senses quickly spotted the words 'steam' and 'punk'. This thing here ---> http://neosteam.gamengame.com/I haven't had a chance to look over it yet; but it certainly seems to have no shortage of cogs or smoke! (it also seems plenty infused with fantasy as well as SP, if that's your thing). Has anyone else garnered enough information to form an opinion on it?

If no one has yet posted, there is an upcoming MMO coming out, called Remnants of Skystone. It is steampunk, has Gaia like qualities, and "Tri Achnid" looking style to it as well. It is browser based too. Coming this Fall of 2008. I, myself, am very excited. Google it. I think many people here will take interest.

I got Arcanum back when it came out during my senior year of high school, but then I got busy finishing up that and spent too many months away from the game to easily pick it up again. Just pulled it out of storage to perhaps give it another spin, though.

Dread Pirate Loki Ragnarok Online has an Airship in it. ;3 Actually, those are pictures from my own private server. I'm planning to revamp the entire thing, from scratch, and totally recreate my own world and storyline, and steampunk is going to play a large role in it. =] Yeah.... let me know how it works out. I've played on a couple RO private servers, kinda fun but if its too easy it loses its flavor fast. Make it a legend.
