Keziel1 What the real question is, in my opinion, is whether it is morally correct to not kill someone. If a man comes into your house in the middle of the night, takes your child, rapes him/her, then brutally executes the child, does this man not deserve to die? Honestly, we can say now that "It still wouldn't be right." or "I wouldn't kill someone even then.", but until it really happens to you, until you lose someone forever, someone who means everything to you, then I seriously doubt any of us can say anything about the subject. That's my personal opinion anyway. i don't have a problem with the death penalty, although the country i live in abolished it many years ago. i believe that the sort of people who are sentenced to death, as long as it is proven that they actually committed the crimes, deserve to rot in prison for the rest of their lives, but i know far too well how easy it is to make people, even highly trained psychologists and psychiatrists, believe what you want them to believe about you. trust me, i've been doing it since i was eight. its dead simple if your mind works that way. a lot of people that would be sentenced to death where it is still done, are given life sentences elsewhere, and then, years later, are out on parole, and they just go on killing, or raping. in my opinion, its much better to kill them, and stop them from ever doing that again, that to take that chance. although i believe that ***** should be put in the prison population. that is a death sentence. killing in war, i don't truly believe in, but on occasion, it is the right thing to do. i like my lifestyle, i enjoy the freedom that i have, and i have jewish blood. i really don't want to imagine a world where hitler won, and in order to win that war, killing was necessary. to me the line is quite easy to draw - will it save someone from either death, or incredible physical and/or psychological pain? answer is yes, then i don't have a problem with killing them. answer is no, then don't kill them. answer is unknown, find more freaking information.

I don't even kill bugs if I can help it, but if I was personally involved in a self defense or defense of my family struggle and killed someone, I would not consider that morally wrong. Revenge, though, is morally wrong to me, no matter how deeply I would wish it. In a kill or be killed situation, my life is of equal value to anyone else's and I don't feel any obligation to sacrifice it to an attacker. Extend that to defense of society or country and you have the question "is war morally justified?". If it is to defend life and home, yes, if it is a struggle for power or invasion or wealth or genocide, no. Unfortunately, that's often the case.

Oh gosh. To kill or not to kill, honestly people say that killing is not moral; that it shouldn't be done in any situation. And I consider it funny that what everyone has been bringing up is killing within war, or the death of criminals. Yes these are everyday killing scenes but what about pity death? Yes I considered this as killing seeing as you ARE taking another life; is killing still wrong in this scenario(sp?)? Many say yes whilst many say no. I think that killing is wrong but you can't judge a person for killing someone just because they killed someone.
And like Stalin said (don't shoot me for bringing him up..he said some very strong words) "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic". So war is just that..a statistic for most people because they don't know anyone that fought in a war or is fighting in a war; and it's only a tragedy to those who lose something or someone.

While I believe it's not right to kill someone, under certain circumstances such as defending oneself, I believe it is a last resort.
Or what about someone who is under a lot of pain or if they're in a veggie state, it would be considered murder if you pull the plug on them.. but sometimes it's better to end their misery. Sad but true, you will only fool yourself into thinking you can make them live longer but you're actually only increasing the suffering, prolonging the inevitable.

I don't see much wrong with killing. Not that I would do it, or that I support all of the reasons that people murder each other, but it is simply another way to help control our population. There are criminals, executioners and angels of death for a reason.
They help end the suffering of those in pain, help weed out the bad apples, and some are just totally random. While it may be confusing as to why some people had to die, it's simply the way life moves. They were chosen for that fate for a reason.

I think it is 'Survival of the fittest.' But one should warn their equals before trying to kill them. But if you manage to defeat them, you deserved surviving and they didn't... confused
