Personality: Lyric can be a very shy Bae. Even though he’s intelligent he has a hard time speaking and can seem a little slow. He enjoys nature and music more than anything else. When he gets flustered or confused he often sings, sometimes seemingly aloof to the situation around him. His humility and generosity abounds and he would give even to the detriment of himself. He believes that everything, little or big, has an inner song linked to their very soul. Its that same song that gives spirit and life to the core, and nothing should ever take that way. Lyric has the heart of a bard.
Location: He's a wanderer and goes wherever there might be a good story.
Lyric's Tree is located in the Eastern Quadrant

About the Tree
It's said that near the center of the east quadrant is a lone tree that sits with it's branches raised wide to the sky above it. The tree is thought to emancipate a slow and lulling melody that touches any who may travel near it's path. The tree basks in natural sunlight during the day, and bathes in moonlight at night. If you listen closely enough it never seems to stop it's rhythmic humming. At it's base is inscribed many note markings, transcribing the very song it sings. The runes are hard to see and only the trained eye will notice them.
This tree belongs faithfully to the very Nequus that was named after the particular tree. Lyric. Like the tree, Lyric is always full of song, his own hide bearing the same note markings.

More Information
Lyric is a loner by nature. It's for this reason that he has taken a charismatic shine to nature, especially his love for birds and other flying specimen.
He travels wherever his heart would have him go. Easily picking up and moving again on a whim. He loves travel, he loves observing action. However, he is less than brave when it comes to his own courage.
He likes to help others, study them and use ideas for new stories and poems. Life is always full of surprises and why shouldn't he be it's score keeper?!

History
Lyric's mother, Rella, raised him and his younger brother alone. Lyric has never known his father or his father's side of the family. Rella was a very kind and soft mare. She cared deeply for others and tried to instill this belief in both of her children. Lyric remembers her always having a song to hum, especially when things got hard for her.
Rella never completely recovered from the birth of the two boys, she was often sick and lost a lot of energy with just every day chores.
Rella was a spunky child, she left her father's herd and didn't expect that she would ever come back. She was wrong. After the two boys were born she had no choice but to seek out his help. She remained there for six months until her death, in which case her father continued to raise Lyric and his brother.
Lyric's grandfather put a lot of hope in the boy. He was the oldest male heir and because of that many things were put on his shoulders. He learned to be proper, was taught many different books and put through a very high education. But no matter how his grandfather tried to suppress Lyric's love of music and fiction it always came out. This infuriated him. What had infuriated him even more was that no matter how many lessons he put Lyric through he retained his inability to speak properly.
In the end, Lyric ran away from his grandfather and the herd. Being banished, he is never to return. The one thing he truly regrets the most is never being allowed to see his brother again.

I feel somewhat helpless when conversing in her presence. I only hope that somehow I can help her to smile a little more. DislikesNone EnemiesNone

April 18th
Today I had this uncontrollable urge to venture toward Yisi. I love Yisi. It's so vibrant and cool, especially during the spring. So many stories to tell of the birds, and other wild life. I can't help but look forward to my visits...
Ahem...
Anyhow.. While there I met a mare by the name of Bastet. This was rather a surprise. I don't usually meet many other Nequus on my trips. She spoke to me first, I could tell there was plenty on her mind.. She told me about her mate, Diego I believe.. She spoke about him like he was a curse. My heart immediately went out to her, and him if I were to meet the poor chap. I'm sure a woman like her is in a caliber all to herself and it could be hell having to live with such things. Regardless, I was moved by her. She is definitely one of passion and it's rare to find such a jewel.
She told me about her daughter. I can't remember the girl's name... Seke- eh.. something of that sort. I know it started with an S. Anyhow, she came up missing. It's rather sad.. but something tells me there is more that she's hiding about the whole ordeal.
What surprised even me is that I dedicated myself to finding the girl. She seemed grateful, but she didn't seem all that happy at the same time. That struck me odd. I've never been so willing to thrust myself into the heat of adventure before.. maybe.. I'm coming out of my shell a little... I doubt it it, but it would be a nice thought to be a character instead of the narrator.
-Gives a mild sigh- I suppose I can only wait to find out...
