Well there's no point in arguing about it. After all, we all know the stupidest and lamest rune is the Waking Rune...
And the Dawn/Dusk runes, seriously, wtf... God, they should've just given him the freaking Sun Rune! Now THAT would be a game...

But if they gave Prince the Sun Rune, wouldn't the game sort of be over? "I've got my family's symbol of power glued to my face! Not only will this make the people side with me, now I can use it's Godlike powers to blow the Godwins from here to Zexen, provided I don't go crazy during the five minutes it would take to do so! Sweet deal!"
Actually, thinking about it, the insanity plot might've been cool. Having crazy hallucinations with Ferid and Arshtat, the Rune giving him flashbacks to previous bearers, so on, like the Rune of Punishment.

QuistisTrepe19 I dunno, that last attack is supposed to be pretty badass. I've never seen it since I gave Chris the TWR and her Magic Stat is fail. But as far as storyline importance and significance to the Suikoden universe, it's pretty damn vital. I mean, it governs over water. WATER. The oceans, the rivers, 70% of our body, hell, 70&#xis;h of the world. Gameplay =/= Storyline. If they were the same, Aeris would have gotten a Phoenix Down Riou could've just used a Resurrection Rune on Kiba. And if the Dragon Rune were to be used in combat, I'd bet it'd fail hard. Because really, what does it do? It keeps dragons. Yep. When u battle Sarah to get the TWR back she uses the last pell of the TWR on u... It's the one where the screen goes black and then ice goes around ur party and it explodes and u get hurt

Well, it's tradition for runes to get progressively lamer each game, so it was a must. Who knows what horrible runes we'll get in the next one... The rune of burping... It governs natural gasses produced by animals. level one spell: Kills off all characters in battle... With laughter. Game Over.
