They had had a few training sessions together. It was the end of one of those, and Susan gathered them all together now.
"Ok, boys, we have a situation on our hands and we'd like to give you a chance to prove yourselves." She smiled, "Are you ready for your first mission?"

The twins grinned at Susan, eager to get to do something finally. "A mission! Alright!" Keagan turned to Ace for a high five on that. "So what do we get to do? Fight a bad guy? Prevent a bank robbery?? Huh? Huh? What is it??"
Kaden rolled his eyes at his brother's excitement, though he was curious as well and glanced towards Susan for an answer.

Ace not only high fived Kaegan, but bounced so that he shoved the other boy, essentially giving a full-body high five---not that Ace's slight frame would have much effect on Kaegan's, still.
"Does Dad approve?" Ace blurted.
"Yes, of course your parents approve," Susan smiled, apparently pleased with that question, "You're going to take an airplane trip and help arrest at least one -- possibly two -- evolveds."
"WHERE?"
"Hawaii."
"We're arresting Raleigh!?!!"
Susan pointedly ignored that.

Keagan's jaw dropped at that. "We're going to HAWAII!?!? ALRIGHT!!! HOT BABES IN BIKINIS HERE WE COME!" He was bopped over the head by his twin, whom he glared at. "What was that for?" Keagan asked, rubbing his head.
Kaden frowned. "Act your age, not your shoe size for once in your life."
"Sheesh... yes, mommy dearest." Which earned Keagan another bop over the head. "I'm being serious about it, I swear! Just trying to lighten the mood some..."
"Raleigh?" Kaden glanced over at Ace. "Who's that?"

"Raleigh is this super cool--"
"Raleigh is one of our supers in Hawaii who--"
"He's a SUPER now?"
"--has been training Ace. He has the ability to create life out of dead material, possibly any carbon material, though he hasn't experimented too far in that field. This is to be a joint training mission and likely an observation while he takes charge to arrest this teenager and his mentor. The teenager is a fire evolved, we're not sure about the mentor, though Raleigh suspects him to be a water evolved."
"That's so cool, we're totally going to go in there and bust---"
"You will not. You are going in there to watch and to listen to Raleigh's orders. If I hear that he's had any trouble from ANY of you, you can forget your time here. I'm done training, and you can go on with the remainder of your lives. Ask Mr. Edwards or Charles or if you don't believe me."
Ok, that was a scary statement said in a scary serious way. Ace shut up.

It managed to shut Keagan up as well. "So we're just watching?" He scowled a bit at that, though he was now careful not to tick Susan off anymore.
"Interesting power..." Kaden mumbled, glancing back up at Susan. "So two evolveds. One fire and the other a possible water. Mentor and student... why are we arresting them??"

"We're arresting them because we have proof of their destructive natures," Susan sighed, "Unfortunately, some people like to flaunt their abilities and use it to scare others. In this case, the fire teenager has openly attacked others before. He's also been a threat to his community. Hopefully we can intervene and set him back on a right course."
"What else are we doing?" Ace demanded, "When are we going? Why are you sending us all the way over there?"
"It's your spring break. I promised something different for that, didn't I?" Susan winked.
"Come on, Suzie, the agency just isn't going to waste that money! There's got to be another reason?"
"Mmmm, perhaps."
"Aaarghhh!"

"So he's a bad guy?" Keagan asked simply. This whole showing off to scare others sounded like something a bad guy would do! Plus, there were only 2 kinds of people in the world: good and bad..... right?
Kaden glanced over at Ace. "You think we'll be doing more stuff??"

"Yes," Susan sighed, "Yes, he's a bad guy." She had to remember that these boys only seemed to care about the simple explanations.
Ace nodded to Kaden, "Duh. Why would they just ship us out like that?"
"Because we're all living in horror of you being HERE for a week with nothing to do!!"
The unusual comment from Susan threw Ace into a fit of laughter.

Keagan grinned. "Okay! Let's kick some bad guy a**!" He paused. "Or... er... watch someone else do that..."
Kaden and Keagan both laughed at Susan's comment. "So are you that bad, Ace??" Kaden teased. "I think they're going to an extreme to get rid of you..."

"I don't believe the word you was exclusive," Ace pointed out, "They're shipping YOU off too--Hey, Suzie, do we get return tickets?"
"No." Susan had already turned to take her hair down now, more or less dismissing them from the training session.
"We're doomed!"

Keagan frowned. "You think she meant us, too?" He glanced up at Susan. "What? No return tickets?? .... SWEET~!"
Kaden just shook his head at the other two boys. This was going to be an interesting spring break.....
