the strangeness
If you're particularly clever on the technical side of things here's a project for you:
Take a little inspiration off Ghost Busters. They trap ghosts with vacuum cleaners. xd
Modify one of those old vacuum cleaners that are a little tiny box with a hose coming out of it and it has a strap so you can wear it like a bag.
Essentially all you do is make a tiny contraption over the top that blows out steam every time the vacuum turned on, attach that to the box, and then decorate the whole thing in a steampunk fashion.
Also, if you're super pro, or you have a lot of time on your hands you can tool around with the vacuum and figure out how to actually get it to run off of steam. biggrin

Adding to this, I was just thinking that some sort of Steampunk Ghostbusters would require a sort of mechanism to keep the ghosts in - I'm just currently imagining a great copper tank with a porthole-style window to look in at them.
Almost like some weird washing machine...? With a protruding valve on one side (and a little near the top) in which the ghosts are inserted.
I'm having way too much fun with that thought, now I wanna write or draw something up for it. whee
Very nice! I like the way you think. 3nodding
