uh, i just found out I'm pregnant. sweatdrop

like this sucks. I'm 15 years old, and I'm in one of those healthy loving relationships that teenagers seem to always miss out on, and theres a pretty healthy sex to social life ratio in our relationship.

but, of course, now I'm pregnant.
I can't keep it: even if it could be an option, I didn't know I was pregnant for 4 weeks, and in that time I've been smoking weed daily, drinking, smoking salvia and doing coke on at least one occasion.

and plus, i'm not really baby holding material.
besides being 15, I'm like 109.0 pounds (yeah, point 0, wtf is that?), and I'm a vegetarian. Like theres no way I can keep this s**t inside of me.

so i take two pregnancy tests, and I'm ******** pregnant.
I told my boyfriend, and hes being extrememly supportive. He told me he would pay for an abortion (he can take me too, he took me to planned parenthood for the birth control pill... a little too late for that huh, and i never actually got it, I couldn't get free services and he couldn't drive me anyways).
He told me he'd find other ways, like an abortion pill, or that I should take regular birth control now (its been 4 weeks, its definetly too late for that huh.)

I dunno you guys, I sort of at a loss.
I've told absolutally no one, and I plan to tell no one.
uh, do you guys have like advice or something? sweatdrop

I am going to give you blunt and honest advice.

1. Get professional help for you substance abuse issues. Marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, and all that stuff isn't good for anyone, let alone a child. You're doing nothing more than killing yourself slowly at the moment. If you care about yourself or anyone else in your life, get help to stop.

2. Never have sex unless you're using birth control. It really is as simply as that. If you can't wait until you get the birth control, you're not ready for sex in the first place. Being ready for sex means being mature, rational, and in control.

3. Women who are vegetarians and weigh 109 can have perfectly healthy babies. However, you're right that 15 year old drug addicts rarely have healthy babies. So it does sound like abortion is your best option here. Regular birth control pills aren't going to cut it at this point. They prevent pregnancy; they're not for abortions. You would have to have an actual abortion. If he said he would take you and pay for it, have him do it. Planned Parenthood should be able to offer you some help, whether it is free or low cost services. If they cannot help you, they might be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.

>>[[ Just because yuo do drugs doesn't mean your baby will be sick or have any problems. My cousin's mom did drugs really bad, and she's fine. [Cousin was adopted] and my friend Dylan's mom did drugs and he is fine as well. They have some minor things but nothing more than anyone else really. There's a high chance, BUT your child could be fine. Plus you never know you're family might be more supportive than you think, and you could ALWAYS put the child up for adoption. So I would say just see how things work out. ]]<<

I second Lorien's suggestion that abortion sounds like the best option. There's nothing that says you can't have children later in life when you're clean and better prepared to be a parent.

You can ask your local Planned Parenthood about abortion options, and if they can't help you, they should be able to point you in the direction of a doctor or someone else who can help.

I also second the idea of getting yourself clean. As Lorien said, you're not doing anything except killing yourself bit by bit. Drugs aren't healthy for ANYONE, pregnant or not. Do yourself a favor and take the steps to get yourself clean.

I'll third the idea of abortion. I believe its my turn to say something:
[1]If you wanted to have sex, be prepared. Physically, aka, be ready to have a child, or mentally, be able to have an abortion. Since there are places like Planned Parenthood out there, how to utilize your options to your maximum benefit. Don't bother playing the transportation card ether, weekends, and public transport.
[2]Drugs? You'll realize when your older. But for now:
Drugs are -usually- poisonous, heck even alcholol(yes I know I spelled that wrong) l and coffee are more dangerous than some illegal drugs.
I think everything else has been nearly covered.

One of my friends was pregnant at fourteen. She smoked both regular ciggarettes and marajuana, and she regularly got drunk. The baby was premature, but he still turned out pretty healthy. His lungs weren't fully developed when he was born, but that was because he was a premature birth. The doctors put the baby in an incubator for a few weeks until his lungs got better.
If my friend, who is younger than you, can deliver a healthy baby, than you probably could, too. Don't loose hope, and good luck. 3nodding

Just because the child has survived, does not mean he's going to grow up healthy. From what you say here, the baby is very lucky to be alive. Drinking and smoking in excess while pregnant is usually the cause of premature births, which thus lead to chronic lung problems and probably juvenile asthma.

That's a great point. It's always possible to give birth to a healthy baby, but obviously the more the mother smokes, drinks, or does drugs, the more the chances of having a healthy baby decrease. There are even many babies born to drug users who seem very healthy for the first few years of their life. It isn't until they start school that it becomes more apparent that they're just not functioning on a normal level. So your friend was very lucky to have a physically healthy baby, but that doesn't mean the baby is free and clear yet. So women who are pregnant, might be pregnant, or are trying to become pregnant need to make sure they are not drinking, smoking, or doing drugs. It really is the least we can do for the babies.

Yes it is true that the baby could be fine if one does drugs... but there's still a high likelihood bad things could happen. Hell some drugs will actually stick to sperm cells and end up in the fetus from the father at conception. Yes there are cases that people, smoke pot, take pills, drop acid, do god knows that... but its still not a smart thing to do. The child is developing and it needs a clean environment to live in as it matures. If you're going to be a mother, you should be responsible enough to stop doing any drugs you're on for the sake of your child.

Also I second All the good ideas in this thread.

Abortion, in your situation is best choice. If its only been a month, then its not far in its development, now if you aborted on the 6h or 7th month I would say the opposite, but its not to late to abort. The chances of the baby being healthy from all that drug intake is weaker than being very sick and possibly deformed. You should though, inform your parents, things like this happen, your not the first.
