Title: Samurai X Genre: Romance, Action, Drama, Psychological Plot: The prelude to the Rurouni Kenshin series. Taken by slavers when he was a child, Himura Kenshin is rescued only when an encounter with bandits kills off everyone but him. He is found by a master of the Divine Justice School of Swordmanship, a school so deadly that to train in it, means death for either the master or student, there can only be one master. Taken by the master, Kenshin is trained in this school, only to leave before finishing so that he may join the Meiji restoration and help prevent further tragedies like his own. One night, he comes across a mysterious woman, Tomoe. He must hide with her when the revolution stumbles. They marry for appearances, but soon fall in love. Tomoe has another reason to be with Kenshin, one she regrets but cannot stop. Revenge must be satisfied, and only blood can do that. [Taken from AnimeNewsNetwork] Comments/Other:
Title: Honey and Clover Genre: Slice of Life, Shojo, Romance, Comedy Plot: A slice of life story, following Takemoto, Mayema, and Morita, students at an art school. Hagumi, an 18 year old with the appearance of an 8 year old, struggles to live up to the standards of others who admire her work. Terrible plot summary, but the series is deep and symbolic and hilarious. Comments/Other:
Title: Monster Genre: Mystery, Psychological, Horror, Drama Plot: Kenzou Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon in Germany, had it all: incredible skill at his work, a rich and beautiful fiancee, and a promising career at his hospital. However, after becoming disenchanted by hospital politics, he chose to save the life of a young boy who got shot in the head over the life of the mayor. As a result he lost the support of the hospital director, as well as his position in the hospital and his fiance. A short time later, the hospital director and the doctors that replaced him were murdered, and once again he was catapulted back onto the top. But as the chief suspect of the murders, Tenma did not get a easy life. As a matter of fact, it seems that the boy he saved was much more than he had appeared to be... Now to clear his name and to correct his past mistake, Tenma must get to the bottom of these and other murders, and investigate the truth of the Monster who is behind all of this.[Tken from Animenewsnetwork] Comments/Other:
Title: Nodame Cantabile Genre: Music, Comedy, Romance Plot: At a top music academy in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki's arrogance is matched only by his top-notch piano playing. But when Chiaki and the teacher get into a fight, he's demoted to the reject class. Chiaki is left to pursue his dream of being a composer while surrounded by a bunch of loser musicians and one annoying girl, Noda, who has proclaimed herself Chiaki's girlfriend. It doesn't help that Noda, who insists on being called Nodame, lives right next door to him. [Animenewsnetwork] Comments/Other:

Vampire Knight?
I recommended Kyo Kara...hahaha!
I suggest that you watch Gankutsuou. It may not be very comedic [other than the crossdressing and such] but the storyline is the best. The art's a little weird, but you get used to it. I personally like the art after watching the whole series. The art stands for how the things you see aren't what they actually are.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a great anime series too! The plot is superb. Its gripping, heart-wrenching, humorous and Informative! The series focuses on many important issues in the world today, such as racism, and war. The art direction is amazing. The music is wonderful. It is over all a shinning example on true anime. I highly recommend it to everyone. biggrin
