I bought Caca Brun last night and did it. Really really really happy with it. I don't mind the smell and I really like the colour (no green this time!) of my hair now. (I have quite a mousy hair colour.) Now it's a rich brown.

I didn't like lush much due to buying a $5 bar of soap that lasted me a week, but other than that, they've got some great great products. (Like this.)

That's kinda neat. How much more expensive is it than normal hair dye? Do they have a blue black color? I'm naturally strawberry blond but I dyed my hair black almost 3 years ago and it looks so much better. My eye color which used to be a washed out gray now looks really blue and pops out, it also works well with my pale complexion.

For me, the price is comparable because I have short hair. I can use half the block which is $18. I believe regular hair dye is around $10-$15?

I don't think they have a blue black, but they do have a Noir. If you can find a Lush near you, I'd go in and ask.

I have the same mousy-brown hair problem. It's why i started using henna in the first place. I use caca Rouge. It gives lots of deep red highlights and only slightly lightens my hair color. It's weird but i've yet to actually change my hair to a solid red. just brown with red highlights.

Has anyone here bought and mixed their own henna/indigo combination? I've been interested in this for several years but I am really attached to my natural color. As I get more grays, it's looking like I'll probably plunge in and do it in the next year or so.

This is the site I visit. This is the mixture I'd like to try, adjusted for my long thick hair.

oops. forgot about this thread. sweatdrop

This is a before:

And this is the after.

This was the first time I did henna and the result was more of a burgundy HUE than any actual red. I've applied henna to my hair about 4 or 5 more times since then and my hair is much more red, especially with the highlights. They're like strands of copper-red in the sun.

The best thing about it is that the color builds up (and fades) naturally the more you use it. I'm not so concerned with having red-red hair anymore. I like how it conditions my hair and the way it smells, and it makes for a good way to spend a rainy day.

I'll take a newer pic in the next day or so, so you guys can see the difference that several applications makes.

i know this thread is quite old,but are there any other pictures? o:

That's really lovely. :3 I wish my hair was naturally that colour.

I'm afraid to do red myself. I would LOVE to be a red head (complete with freckles) but I don't think red is complimentary to my skin tone.

I'm going to henna again. With this dry winter my hair gets the fizzles and I like how it's sleeker after henna-ing.

I might be brave and post some pictures. surprised eek ninja

*obtained henna hair dye*

biggrin

It's a dark auburn, I have yet to use it.

It's rainbow henna brand.

But can you also use henna hair dye as plain henna too?
In the ingredients it was just henna, and it's organic. =P
