Name: Ancient Oak
Description: Odd Winter’s territory consists of a single tree, the old and gnarled oak. He managed to procure a spot near the center, which was very much a great stroke of luck for the aberrant. He does not need anything more than this old tree, which serves both his profession as a keeper and his hobby at tending plants, which he grows in the crevices.
Resident(s): Odd Winter, Moth, Beetle, Worm, and their horde of chirops
Image(s):User Image
Visitors: Any creature, be it sentinel or companion, looking for a friendly face and shelter.

Part I - The Sentinel

Player: Aurrie Beaues
Name: Odd Winter
Nicknames: Odd, Oddie
Species: Sentinel of Noctua
Age: Adult
Hatch Date: 27/10/200?
Type: Aberrant (Albino)
Task: Keeper (Chirops)
Personality: Odd tends to be more on the reclusive side, but only because of his poor vision and his sensitivity towards light. In his younger seasons, he despaired at the thought of being useless to the Sentinel society and struggled to find some area where he would succeed. He loves younger Sentinels and would of thoroughly enjoyed the occupation of Teacher or Minder, had his sight of been better. Instead, he found the joys of medicine and took to it like a duck to water. He worked hard, but he rarely had many patients. His two most envied professions, the medic and the teacher, were more or less dreams that he would not recognize. Being an aberrant, and a rather odd one, at that, he found it extremely difficult to meld with Noctua society. After a time, when he and Moth had not seen patients in weeks, he decided to change profession. He became a Chirop keeper. He breeds for intelligence ands speech capability in hopes that his lines would eventually surpass the bright little mus. He seems to be having a little more luck with this chosen path, since the well being of others is no longer in his capable talons.
History: Not much is known about Odd. When he was but a chick, no mother would claim him. He grew up under the care of a minder after being abandoned and took to studying medicine at quite an early age. After a while, his dreams of being the finest medic in all of Noctua were shattered. He is more social nowadays, but there is a tint of sadness and a loathing towards the purist sentinels. He remains polite, despite this.
Territory: He stays in the depths of the Sentinel borders, going as far north as the dark covers of the trees allow. He makes his home in an ancient oak, nestling between the large, thick limbs. The old tree had been struck by lightening years ago and one of the limbs fell, leaving a scorched gap. After much effort and collaboration with gatherers and their companions, he managed to have the gap filled with dirt and insists on cultivating as much of his own supplies as possible. So far, his plants seem to be doing well, though he no longer has much use for them. If wanted, he will trade them with medics, apothecaries, and pretty much any sentinel that wants them. His oak has proven to be a great place to keep and raise the many, many Chirops he has acquired and bred. His Moth and two main breeders are painted to match his solid white coloration. The rest are marked with simple color spots on their necks, to indicate gender and parents. These markings would mean, more or less, nothing to other sentinels, other than that they are companions. The Chirops seem to thrive in all of the space he provides for them.
Mate: None
Companions: Yes
Certificate:

Part II – Companions

Name: Moth
Species: Chirop
Age: Adult
Speech Ability: 5
Intelligence: 5
Skill: Moth is a versatile companion for Odd, which is just what the Sentinel needed. She is brash and loud, quite a contrast to her quiet and reserved owner, but she does her job well. In the beginning, Moth served as a seeing-eye Chirop for the Sentinel. His vision is quite poor, especially in well lit areas; the brightness of the sun hurts him. Moth, for the most part, describes fine details to Odd and keeps the other Chirops under surveillance.

Name: Beetle
Species: Chirop
Age: Adult
Speech Ability: 3
Intelligence: 5
Skill: Beetle is the main male of Odd's Chirop colony. He is smart and his speech is quickly developing, though it is still lacking some to be desired.

Name: Worm
Species: Chirop
Age: Adult
Speech Ability: 4
Intelligence: 5
Skill: Worm is the main female of the colony. She is somewhat more talkative than Beetle, but just as smart.
