As if fearing he was dreaming Aman's arms encircled this female who had entered his heart & soul so completely. He gave a soft sound, hardly believing the gift God had granted him. With a happy sigh he lay his head upon hers, breathing in the wonderfulness that was "Marine.." whispered. All but carried away.
Her skin, seeming smoother than ever with the moonlight reflecting upon it. And he was feeling that smooth skin. She was in his arms... where he had been trying to hold back his dreams of just that. Lord... thank you...

To Marine, this was soo very much like a treasured dream she never wanted to wake up from. To have even gotten to this point seemed like a miracle or perhaps a blessing of some kind. Either way she felt unwilling to question it too deeply. As far as she knew there was nothing between the lines that was not true and pure. Most of her life she had been waiting for the one and it seemed as if that time was now. In a way it was a relief, in the back of her mind she had been fearful of ending up an old maid. Continually taking care of others yet never being able to experience fully what they experienced. Living vicariously through others was not quite as satisfying as living it first hand. She snuggled deeper in his embrace and fought against the sleepiness.

For perhaps the first time, Aman was not thinking. He was still praying his thanks, but he was not thinking. His arms tightened gently around her, a hand moving to rest on Marine's bare arm as she snuggled closer, his thumb sweetly stroking the skin beneath it, his cheek resting on her hair.
It was a perfect night... he could stay like this forever with her and be perfectly, blissfully happy.
Then he suspected she was becoming drowsy, fighting sleep. Likely he was too, but with the whole 'not thinking' thing Aman had missed the signs. As much as he would love nothing more than to sleep with her in his arms beneath the silvery moon... "Marine.... Marine m'love? It pains me to ask... to offer... but shall I take you home soon? I... we're not wed... I'd find a home for us... if it pleases you. Marine..." His embrace encircled her more, his entire body seeming to get into holding her near. Clearly he did not want to let her go. But it was the right thing to do. For now only.
