AliceDear I completely agree with the "proper manners" part. Lolitas should be polite. o_o I'm not going to act any more or less polite than I usually do. Clothing shouldn't make you act a certain way.

I'd say sewing, cooking, dressing pretty, shopping, dancing and arranging flowers makes me feel like a lolita. heart ... of course they don't all need to be done one after the other though.

Nothing really makes me feel particularly lolita, since I view lolita as a fashion rather than a lifestyle (though I respect those who choose to turn it into such).
I do enjoy browsing through antique stores and finding old, cute little trinkets that most people wouldn't give a second thought to. Of course, I liked to do this long before I had ever even heard of lolita, so it may not count.

Aside from the clothing itself, I love seeing other lolitas. I have to overcome this overwhelming urge to hug them. 4laugh So cute!!
So probably my biggest lolita thing is being with another one! :3

Feeling Lolita...*stares dreamily at the pouring rain outside my window* Nothing really makes me feel Lolita...I simply feel like myself. A part of me that I've had to keep tucked away for all too long I supose though can be called "feeling Lolita"... Growing up in a Navy city didn't much allow a boy to wear frilly dresses and such, but now I'm free =^ ^= Free to eat all the beautiful pastries and drink all the delicious warm tea I want while wearing my suits and dresses...
Sorry for ranting...well, bye bye *waves and moves on*

Yuki-Neko90 Wearing the clothes; I mean lolita is a fashion not a lifestyle. quote] oh? what if fashion is your life? i would consider it a lifestyle. seeing as you can tag it to such things as a "lolita teaparty" which leads me to one of my favorite "ahh it's great to be a lolita" moments: When i sit, teapot in hand and petticoat displayed about my sitting position, pouring myself a nice hot cup of green tea from a delicately painted teapot to a delicately painted teacup. also threading a needle before embroidering flowers into a kerchief, sitting at my sewing machine buzzing together a new floofeh skirt =D also, when i can skip and feel all the layers of petticoat floof up, it's quite theatric ^__^

I have to agree with everyone thats said the clothes make them loli since I believe the clothes are the essence of loli-ness. I don't really think there is anything else that makes me feel lolita because being lolita is wearing a certain style of fashion all the while being true to yourself. (In my mind's eye!) However I respect all lolitas and their opinions of loli-ness.

Sewing, cooking, listening to music such as that by Emilie Autumn, Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois. Dreaming about boy elegant gothic aristocrats, and losing myself in my own dark little elegant world...

A petticoat, plain and simple smile That extra floof beneath any of my skirts makes me feel... like a lolita! Haha. Also, the shoes are a factor, along with just being nice, and smiling often.
